A rewrite of one of my all time favorite Thomas stories "Come Out Henry!" from Season 1, with added lines by tate310. Enjoy and comment.
Once, an engine attached to a train, was afraid of a few drops of rain. It went into a tunnel, and squeaked through it's funnel, and wouldn't come out again!
The engine's name is Henry. His driver and fireman argued with him.
"Henry, please come out of the tunnel." said the fireman very nicely.
"The rain will spoil my lovely green paint and red stripes."
The conductor blew his whistle loudly 'till he had no more breath, and waved his red flag 'till his arms ached, but Henry blew steam at him.
"I won't spoil my lovely green paint and red stripes for you." he said very rudely.
"Well then." said the driver, "I guess we'll have to call Sir Topham Hatt then.
Later, another train came along with some coaches. One of the coaches carried Sir Topham Hatt, the man in charge of all the engines on the Island of Sodor. Henry watched the train stop by the tunnel, and Sir Topham Hatt climbed down the coach.
"What's the problem?" asked Sir Topham Hatt to Henry's driver and fireman.
"Henry is refusing to come out of the tunnel." said the driver.
"We've tried everything." said the fireman, "but Henry is still in the tunnel."
Sir Topham Hatt then came over to Henry.
"Well Henry, we'll just have to pull you out then!"
All Henry did was blow more steam at everyone. He was very cross and red in the face.
Everyone pulled except Sir Topham Hatt, because his doctor forbade him to pull. They pulled as hard as they could, but still Henry stayed in the tunnel.
Then they tried pushing from the other end. Everyone pushed except Sir Topham Hatt, because his doctor forbade him to push. They pushed as hard as they could, but Henry still stayed in the tunnel.
Everyone was very cross at Henry
"Look, it has stopped raining!" said a passenger.
"Yes, but it will begin again soon, and it will ruin my lovely green paint and red stripes."
A few minutes later, Thomas arrived. The conductor waved his red flag and stopped him. Thomas was coupled up to Henry's coaches. He puffed and pushed and pulled as hard as he could, but it was no use, Henry was still in the tunnel.
Everyone finally gave up, including Sir Topham Hatt.
"We will take away your rails." he said, "and leave you here until you are ready to come out of the tunnel."
Sir Topham Hatt ordered a brick wall be built in front of Henry, so that other engines wouldn't bump into him. It took a while, but the wall was finally finished. Sir Topham Hatt and the workers left.
Months went by, Henry was still in the tunnel. He was very sad because he thought no one would see his lovely green paint and red stripes ever again.
Edward and Gordon always went by the tunnel. Edward went through the tunnel first. He would whistle and say "Hello!" Then Gordon went through the tunnel after him. He would whistle at Henry and say "Serves you right!"
Henry wondered if he would ever be able to pull coaches again. How long do you think Henry will stay in the tunnel?
