San Fransokyo, late night about eleven, a boy sat on the highest top of the bridge citizens were proud of. Most people who noticed him might call rescue teams to bring him down so he wouldn't fall. That would never happen though. At this height in the barely lit place, seeing him was as hard as finding a missing microchip in a sea of tangled wires. Even if they did, he would still perfectly be fine, both physically and mentally.
Something warm enveloped him at the thought that someone was watching him from afar, but it was not warm in the sense of feelings. Instead, it was in the form of a hug from his mechanical best friend. The heat he felt was emitted from the robot's body, despite his suit being metal. The boy smiled.
"I thought you would like a night hug."
"I do Baymax. Thank you." He was lying, but nobody minded.
The stars above twinkled as the two enjoyed the moment - or at least one did. The two of them usually spent their time here. Sometimes, they were also joined by another friends of theirs, but they had job to do at the moment. If Hiro remembered right, which was impossible for him to not to, they said they might not see each other for about a month. That was what a twelve-year-old got for being friend with those years older than him, making him feel like a child, like how his guardian always did. "It is almost midnight. I suggest we fly home so you can have your rest, Hiro." He didn't mind it though.
"I don't need any. But you're right. Let's get home before she calls Officer Doughnut-stache again."As they stood up, Baymax folded out his wings. When Hiro was firmly placed on Baymax's back with the help of magnetic extensions, they took flight, high.
The city of San Fransokyo, at night, was an admirable picture from the sky. Every turn of his head, he saw buildings big and small alike decorated in bright colored light, hoping to attract customers for those involved in business, or to help San Fransokyo become 'The Most Magical Place of the Year'. There were also those who just wanted to save electricity, expressing their dissatisfaction concerning the waste people had done and its consequences should they continue doing it.
"Adult these days..." Hiro heard an old man say as he and Baymax flew past him.
Years of advanced technology had certainly developed the city's growth. He was thankful for it, really. If it weren't for them, the boy wasn't sure if he could ever meet the one he called his best friend, his artificial man-made buddy yet had many time proved himself to possess the very thing that made human human; emotion. Because of that, he learned the hard, or easy, way of life, that you must accept things as they are.
"Baymax?"
"Yes, Hiro. What can I be of help." The robot landed in front of their destination.
"Thanks."

Part of an old project of mine. Never thought it would end up being a one-shot, though. Tell me what you think.
