Fleeting Puppetry
A Sasori x Deidara Oneshot
Sometimes...life can just be too unfair, right? I mean...so unfair, yeah...
Deidara sat upon his huge clay bird with his blue eyes unblinkingly gazed upon the blue hue of the sky. The sun was slowly drifting down upon the embrace of two mountains. The sky was slowly replaced with a velvety red and he looked down. Below him were thickets of trees and meadows. He let his blonde locks caress his skin as they waved wildly upon the rush of air. 'Danna...'
The artist stood upon his clay bird upon it dove down and stopping when it was a few meters away from the boughs of green leaves. His blue eye focused upon what was in front of him, a barren field of sand, where sandstorms shook and ruled the dunes. He quickly jumped down upon the sandy floor and discarded his clay art to the sandstorm that gobbled it up with ease. 'Why did I come here?' The words echoed through his head as his feet strode the sand. The sandstorm was harsh and swept his blonde locks towards their direction. 'Why here?' His mind couldn't ponder but his body guided him to his path. The mouth upon his hands seemed to chew clay as he walked towards his destination.
His sandals where almost filled with the yellow granules of sand but he did not stop. His eye widened upon the scenery in front of him. He could not expect that he would go here. Of all the places, why HERE? It was none other than, "Sunagakure..."
He was already in front of the village. The sandstorm still dangerous to anyone who crossed its path but why did it spare him? Would he not have been blown away? He walks towards the other side of the wall that shielded Suna from enemy attacks. No one noticed his presence, How come? The shinobis that stood at the entrance were nonchalant. How can they ingnore an S-rank criminals presence? He shrugged and continued on, his feet guiding him once again. This time he was led to an empty house. It's aura was heavy and sadness crept in the air. "You..." a voice broke and he turned.
His eye widened, "Danna..." Yes, there stood Sasori. He was wearing what looked like an ordinary Suna citizen's clothes. It seemed rather awkward for him. "Why are you here Deidara?" Silence. He did not even know as to why but his feet had guided him here. "I'm waiting Deidara and you know I hate waiting." The idea snapped into the blond's head, "You guided me here." The red head smirked revealing the chakra strings upon his fingers, "But how?" The puppeteer stood up and closed the distance between them. "Because it'd be lonely without you." Deidara looked upon his danna. He understood what he meant. He i IS /i dead. He didn't notice it until now. "I was waiting for you all the time and lo and behold you finally came." Sasori stated as a smile graced his pale lips. Deidara smiled, "I was missing you for quite a while now." The puppeteer 'hn'ed but smiled nonetheless. He got hold of Deidara's hand and together they dispersed leaving no trail of their presence but only of their former existence. And the house lay empty once again, leaving all the memories behind as life was like a fleeting puppetry to the both of them.
