You started out in a manger
Born to be King
God sent shepherds and wise men
As the angels sing
You were raised a carpenter's son
To carve things out of pine
But you will not just carve out tables
You will carve us out as well, in time
You grew and knew your purpose
To save us from this earth
To send us all to heaven
To show our real worth
So you went out and blessed
And healed the sick and blind
You raised the dead and
Turned our water into wine
You took up your twelve disciples,
But you still had many more
You had everyone on this earth
Who loved you, and who you were for
But, alas some did not like your deeds
And their plan was set
They found out where you where
With something Judas would regret.
They came and took you
And you went willingly
And you were judged
And Barabbas was set free
They made you carry your cross
Across the long streets
Then they nailed you up by your hands
And nailed you down by your feet
You asked God to forgive them
Because they did not know
That you would come back again
And wash are sins as white as snow
You died
And the earth was broken hearted
The ground shook
And the temples curtain was split and parted
The ones that still cared
Buried you in a tomb
With a large boulder over the door
While their thoughts lied in gloom.
But three days passed
And you were not finished yet
You took back the keys from hell
And now another purpose was set
You came back to us
And stayed another 40 days
You gave us the holy spirit
Then you went away.
Now I wait for you lord
Sitting alone in this room
Jesus I believe in you
Please come back soon.
