Chapter One

Toph's Point of View

So, the war's over. I know, I should go back home. But I don't want to, partially because I'm mad at my dad for sending two guys to hunt me. But it's mostly because - I can't believe I'm saying this - I'm scared. I'm afraid that they've stopped caring about me. So, we're going around the world to see if we missed anything.

So we're flying on Appa. And I still hate it."Can't we land soon?"

Sokka's the one who answers. "Well, since we can only land when there's land, we have to wait for some land."

"You lost me at the second 'land', Sokka."

Zuko cuts in before Sokka can try to explain and make it more complicated, "We can't land yet, Toph."

"Great."

About ten minutes later, I heard thunder in the distance. "Um, Aang you might want to make Appa go a little faster."

"Why?"

"'Cause there's a storm coming."

"Um, how bad a storm?"

"How would I know. I can hear it, not see it."

"Good point."

I feel Appa start flying a little faster. I don't mind until I hear a sharp crack. A really close crack. And I know everybody else heard it too. Thus causing everyone to go, "AANG!"

and making him go "I know, I know!!"

Appa starts flying way faster. Not that it matters, because it starts raining. Hard. And about five minutes later, we find land and, well, land.

"This is going to be a really crappy night." Zuko says.

I agree.
