This is just something I wrote after reading Running with wolves by Darks Light and this is my take on what happened to Rei afterwards and I was feeling slightly depressed at the time thatI wrote it.

I suggest you read Running with Wolves first it would make much more sense if you did, thanks.

Rei POV

I guess I should have known. It doesn't feel as bad as I thought or is it that my heart has been numbed to the core with the amount of hurt running through my body?

I stand here the cold snow nipping at my bare feet watching the five wolves happily with each other. I know for a fact that Kai is the one with the bronze wolf, he has such a beautiful coat I'm surprised. My skin prickles and I faintly register the fact that I am not wearing my jacket except what I had been sleeping in, a pair of loose pants and shirt, I'm not even wearing shoes. I shrug to myself no longer caring as I watch.

The bronze wolf slowly licks away some of the snow from the other's face and even if I don't understand what they are saying to each other I seem to be able to understand all the same. Kai will be with him now, he will be leaving us to go with them.

I can't help but to hate the tear that has fallen down my cheek. The coolness of it making me blink releasing more. I feel like an idiot, like a fool, someone who doesn't deserve to live. I slowly raise a chilled hand to my face noticing that thanks to the moonlight I can see the light blue in my fingertips, I ignore it and wipe away my tears.

I stand for only a few more minutes watching until I feel that I have stayed too long. Slowly I turn around and start walking. I'm not sure if it's the way to the cabin or not I just keep walking.

I stop…my golden eyes raise up from the ground and I can see the moon in all her glory surrounded by clouds the color so amazing the purplish glow but also white and blue it's indescribable. My eyes slowly move down and I can see from a distance a waterfall though not big like it would be n the winter it is just there barely there feeding the stream that is running through the ground and trees.

I catch a glimpse of the five wolves and I smile softly. I look around and spot a fallen tree. Now that I think about it I must have been walking for a very long time since I left them down there. I sit down now noticing that my feet are blue and so are my hands. I don't really register it though because again my eyes are again drawn by the beautiful moon which is slowly moving towards the horizon.

Strangely I'm starting to feel sleepy, I chuckle a little "Must be because I followed them since they left the house earlier tonight." I settle down against the tree feeling strangely warm. "I should go but I'm too tired now. Goodnight." I murmur as I fall asleep.

From where the cabin was a green light faintly glows and shoots out a window. A majestic tiger stand alone before crying out to the night before dispersing in a green ethereal glow just as beautiful as the colors in the sky.
