Sunlight poked through the white clouds, creating bits of pink and orange over the sky. The forest was alive with prey, birds singing, squirrels running swiftly over the grass.

Icecloud slowly opened her eyelids, and looked around the Warrior's den. Her heart sank into the pools of loneliness as she gazed at Lionblaze and Cinderheart, sleeping together with their tails curled around eachother. The white she-cat felt the similiar pang of jealousy and misery.

It wasn't fair. She had loved Lionblaze first! She had known him all her life, they had been denmates in the nersury before. Icecloud remembered her kithood. Play fighting with Lionkit, exploring with him... She knew Lionblaze even more than her own self. At first she thought that it was just a little crush, nothing more. But she can't drag her gaze away from him.

She remembered him flexing his claws, ready for battle, ready to protect his Clan... She remembered her first hunt, remembered how Lionpaw had teached her some of his moves. That day was the best day of her life. They were friends when they were apprentices, playing together without an care in the world...

But then everything changed. Lionpaw had recieved his Warrior name, Lionblaze. She had cheered his name the loudest, happy as if it were HER ceremony. But then they spoke less and less. It hurt. It hurts so much.

Cinderheart appeared out of nowhere, destroying Icecloud's life. Well, Cinderheart just wanted kids, Icecloud knew it. But, she'll keep wishing. At least she had her brother, Foxleap, for company. Lionblaze was too good for Cinderheart! The gray bitch barely give a mouse-tail when Lionblaze's littermate, Hollyleaf, disapeared. But Icecloud had shared his grief, and all this time Lionblaze STILL didn't notice her.

Icecloud remembered that disastrous night when she saw Lionblaze and Cinderheart racing through the trees. He seemed to be enjoying it. Enjoying it even more that he did when he was around Icecloud... She told her self that the two were just friends, nothing more. But, she was wrong. The two had became mates. Mates. Lionblaze was like Cinderheart's shadow, mooning over her all day.

The white she-cat closed her eyes shut, trying to forget EVERYTHING, but tears were now rolling down her cheeks, and she dug deeper into her nest. ''I love you, Lionblaze...'' She thought.
