Your Smile
This story was inspired by Invader Gilly's 100 prompts.
I used to see you everyday at lunch, recess, and on the way home. Every time I saw you, you always looked the same; eyes squinted in a menacing sort of way, purple hair spiked like the fangs of a venomous snake, and mouth always in a scowl. Well, almost always.
On rare occasions, I see your mouth curve into a smile. A beautiful smile. A smile that could out shine any star, A smile that could make time unwind, a smile that could make ice catch on fire.
Oh, how I love seeing that smile. It fills me with warmth and happiness; as if there was a blazing fire in my heart. But unfortunately, it is a rare pleasure. For there are very little time you are actually happy.
Every time I set my eyes on that beautiful smile, my pak fixes it permanently into my memory, so I can remember each and every one of your glorious smiles. I remember you smiling when Dib got covered in punch, I remember you smiling when I got covered in punch. I also remember you laughing when you dropped a water bomb on your brother's HUGE head. Your giggle sounded like a shmillion angles singing from heaven. I remember that I was so lost in your smile, that I took the wrong toilet.
Sweet memories, such sweet memories. These wonderful times are what make me. But now, these are just memories. I never see your smile anymore. I never see you anymore. It has been years since I've seen you, your smile, or heard you giggle. You can't smile where you are now. I've dreamt of the day I would see your smile again. But unfortunately, dreams don't come true.
