A/N: I was rewatching season 3 and the interaction between Hotch and Morgan at the beginning stuck with me. Morgan's thoughts on Hotch asking for a transfer.

~We don't want a new Unit Chief ~
He says we'll get a new Unit Chief, doesn't he think that we don't want a new Unit Chief? We don't want someone who is less of a drill sergeant, we don't want someone new. We want him, drill sergeant and SSA Hard Ass. We want him and not someone new. Or old. Or whatever.
This is my family, this team is like a family and in a family you love everyone regardless of their faults or mistakes or whatever. He says that we'll get a new Unit Chief, he jokes that this new person will be better than him but he doesn't get it that we Don't want a new Unit Chief because we already have a Unit Chief and he is a pretty damn good one too.
