The Joker
It was pitch black outside except for the bright strikes of lighting that broke the darkness into intervals. It was my turn to lock up for the night at work, and I was just on my way out. I locked the front door and turned to be faced with an eerie chill. I shook it off and started to walk to my car, which was parked in the alley on the side of the building (There's never any room to park in the front anyway). I listened to my feet sloshing through the puddles and for a second thought that I had heard footsteps behind me. I turned around and saw nobody, I shrugged it off and started to walk again. Soon enough, the footsteps started again, they sounded closer than the previous time. They became faster and faster, I started to freak out and whipped my whole body around to again see nobody there. I walked hurriedly towards my vehicle, I reached it, opened my door, and put the key into the ignition. I turned the key, but the engine just sputtered and sputtered.
"Oh God please, not now, not now." I muttered as I tried to start the car again. When it failed, I sighed.
A series of lightning flashes illuminated the backseat of my car I looked into the mirror and I saw him, just sitting in the back seat of the car. His messy green hair, the white make-up that covered his face, and the creepy, blood red ear-to-ear grin painted on his face. Petrified, I turned around to face him. He laughed sadistically at my terrified face.
"Why so serious?"
