Overall summary: The universe has fallen under siege of the powerful intergalactic mafia empire called Jark Matter. An enormous and very strong organization that was formed from the worst most dreadful and corrupt politicians' gangsters' outlaws and dealers from the most lawless slums of the galaxy who banded together under the rule of crime lord, Don Armage, the self-proclaimed kingpin of the galaxy. Jark matter invaded hundreds of worlds and solar systems sowing seeds of corruption and extortion into the government bodies. When initiating their take over, riddling the planets with drug and weapon epidemic, slavery of its people, and selling them off like cattle to be slaughtered and infesting almost every single planet with widespread crime, corruption, and the worst acts humanity could make. They hold no remorse or mercy for their actions. Eventually, they succeeded in taking the entire universe in their clutches. With almost no hope left except for 9 chosen saviors who have risen to fight back against their criminal empire.
Character Descriptions
Lucky/Shishi Red
Description: A young boy who has suffered amnesia with no memory of his past or where he came from. Lucky has been shoved into the harsh and grueling battle against the Jark Matter since crash landing on a remote world where he was recovered and revived by the rebellion against the criminal empire. He is actually the last surviving member of a spice mining colony on an asteroid belt in the few spots Jark Matter's influences hasn't fully taken control of yet. He has always had a positive and upbeat look on life, even amidst the dark times of Jark Matter's tightening death grip on the universe. He remained hopeful of one day of having peace and freedom return once more. He had tried joining the rebellion but wasn't at the proper age for entering so instead he choose to fight off Jark Matter spies that would come by and shoot down probes to try proving his worth so that one day he's accepted. However, one day, Jark Matter, unleashed a surprise raid on his colony and captured and pillaged all their people and spices to be sold off and extorted on the black market. Hundreds of his people were slain and their crops burned to cinders to save their people from being completely captured and enslaved. Lucky and others were put in escape pods to be sent to places where they wouldn't be found. However, Lucky was blasted in his pod and crash landed, giving him amnesia.
Stinger/Sasori Orange
Description: The younger brother of Scorpio, Jark Matter's top assassin. Stinger was raised in darkness from a young age. Ever since his older brother torched and destroyed their village, he has been in his brother's care raising him and training him into being a powerful and deadly weapon to be used for Jark Matter's twisted game. Stinger is cruel, calculating, and very cunning in his ways, always lurking at his target in the shadows. Spying on them and learning their darkest secrets, and when the moment comes, he attacks and injects his poison into them. He's grown to be very uncaring and very harsh in having no sympathy for those he sees as weak and only cares only about getting to be the most powerful and deadliest assassin in Jark Matter's army. Secretly desiring to surpass his brothers rank and harboring a lust for revenge against him for murdering their parents.
Garu/Okami Blue
Description: Garu is a wolf like alien from the Lupus System. While being with the others from early on, he still acts like much of a loner not liking to be ordered around. Before joining the team, Garu lived with his pack on the planet in peace as a free animal. However, when Jark Matter invaded, all his people were wiped out. Garu often doesn't like to open up about his feelings or show a weak soft side to the others. He also has a quick temper as it wouldn't take long for him to snap at the others. Though he does grow to open to the others and think of them as his new family.
Balance/Tenbin Gold
Description: Originally made as a simple clerk robot for a huge financial company in handling and sending out hundreds of dollars for huge top dollar businessman. Balance originally called BL-CE by the company that built him never quite felt at home doing the job he was assigned and programed to do and always felt there was something else out there, bigger for him to do and wanted to escape his rather uneventful, rather dull life. He felt he had dreams of getting famous and becoming a well-known collector of rare valuable jewels, diamonds, and more and opening a museum dedicated to the rarest artifacts on the nebula. But no one ever took him seriously for being just a mindless robot to people. It was not until he had met Naga, till he truly felt understood and respected for who he was and didn't have to fear about being belittled since their meeting they have formed a team of two traveling to far off worlds on a mission to collect the rarest valuables imaginable and go into business together.
Naga Rei/Hebitsukai Silver
Description: Naga Rei is an alien from a planet in the Ophiuchus System. He was born into a race where his entire people gave up all emotions to unify and act as a hive mind, so they may all live in perfect harmony without war strife or toxic emotions. Running on their planet seeing as how those have caused other worlds to fall and become degenerate to them. However, Naga felt out of place he didn't understand why his emotions had to be locked away from him like everyone else in the galaxy or why it is a bad thing to feel them. And so, he chose against the wills of his people to abandon his home and search for a teacher who could help him rediscover and re-unlock his dormant feelings, so he could for the first time. Truly feel like he was alive and not a servant to what the elders of his world made everyone else believe. Because of this, Naga was outlawed and exiled from ever returning. Eventually, he ran into Balance whom like Naga was seeking more to life than what they were born for forming a strong friendship.
Champ/Oushi Black
Description: Champ wasn't always an android. Originally, he was a championship winning wrestler for a gladiatorial arena that was known as the raging bull of the ring. He was an unstoppable mighty warrior whose passion and goal in life was to become the world's undefeated wrestling king. He had been participating in matches since he was a young calf. Training day in and day out, 24/7, perfecting his body and mind to his physical limit. However, during one wrestling match, he was betrayed by his agent who turned out to be Jark Matter spy who had been using Champ ever since they met and intended to use his body and strong physical condition to produce a series of war machines for Jark Matter based on him. In the middle of a match, he was electrocuted, and his body burned alive by his agent. However, before he died, his brain was still alive enough that it was placed in a stolen prototype war machine body by the rebellion. Now, Champ harbors revenge against Jark Matter for using him as a puppet, using the Taurus Kyutama to fight back as Oushi Black.
Hammie/Chameleon Green
Description: Hammie is a ninja from a planet in the Chameleon system. With the Council's abilities, they were able to keep themselves hidden from Jark Matter's eyes. Growing up, Hammie had trained hard beyond her limit to become a master ninja and impress her master Tsurukiku, who she thought of as a mother. Their people were fully aware of Jark Matter's invasion over the universe outside of their borders but chose to do nothing to keep themselves safe. But Hammie and others could not help but want to be able to do something to help. Unfortunately, they were denied by her planet's council of elders. While being a sweet and naive girl, Hammie knows when to be tough and trust her instincts.
Raptor 283/Washi Pink
Description: She was the first ever man-made android on Earth whose mission was originally to explore and gather intel on alien life from other planets outside of our solar system. But, she began slowly developing her own mind and grew a life of her own outside of the A.I programed into her and started to be curious about this universe. So, she ventured beyond where she was supposed to go. Until, one day, she was captured by Jark Matter and they brainwashed her into doing horrendous acts that helped them conquer world after world. And once she was broken free of their control, losing her on a remote planet. She was recovered by the rebellion but had her memory files whipped, now feels guilty for what she unknowingly caused and is seeking redemption.
Spada/Kajiki Yellow
Description: Spada is from a family of chefs and cooks who served gourmet food for the poor and sick and needy of his planet to give comfort and relief for those who have been affected by Jark Matter and him running a shelter. Taking in innocents who were harmed and nursing them to health with his dishes. But, one day, Jark Matter unleashed a horrendous attack on his planet and enslaved his entire people and murdered every one of his family, friends, and girlfriend. Filled with grief and rage, he now wants to join the rebellion, so he has a chance to avenge his fallen world.
Shou Ronpo/Ryu Commander
Description: The current leader of the rebellion since the death of his mentor, Big Bear, the leader of the rebellion. After seeing his mentor, friend, and former superior gunned down in front of him by Jark Matter's worst bounty hunter, Shou Ronpou has held a very strong and fierce grudge against Don Armage for taking the life of the man who was like a father to him. He grew up an orphan, his parents left him alone in the wilderness and was discovered by Big Bear, a local shaman and priest. He raised Shou from childhood, teaching him many lessons about how to be a strong and upstanding man and training him to always be on alert, no matter what, with the rise of Jark Matter about. Shou was an ambitious youth full of wonder and dreams. Wishing to one day become a great historian who told the legend of heroes throughout history to the next generation. However, Jark Matter hit his world Big Bear raised him on and took everything and almost everyone he had known in front of his eyes. Big Bear took him to safety, but his world was left in cinders and ashes. Filled with a want to avenge his home, he created his own Ryu Kyutama and took on Jark Matter as Ryu Violet, wanting to show Big Bear and others he could be a hero too.
Kotaro Sakuma/Koguma Skyblue
Description: Kotaro is a small, 11-year-old child, from the planet Earth, one of the only planets that hadn't fallen into the hands of Jark Matter. He is a courageous and brave young boy whose desire is to live up to be like his father. Kotaro always try to see the best in others even if they aren't on their side. He also needs to be strong for his younger brother. When encountering the Koguma Kyutama, his soul came one with the spirit of Big Bear. However, he was unaware to it as it laid dormant. Despite his strong will and courage, Kotaro still has his moments of being naive and vulnerable. It is by his words and hands, he change's Stinger's heart to join the Kyurangers after getting to know him.
Tsurugi Ohtori/Houou Soldier
Description: Tsurugi was the very first person who ever encountered Jark Matter. During a search and rescue trip to find the missing android named Raptor 283, he built and during his search, he came into direct contact with Don Armage himself and found Raptor, his own creation under his spell and destroying planet after planet. For him, wanting to break her free, he charged at him with all his might to fight his influence on her off. His bravery gave him the very first kyutama that made him, Houou Soldier, and was the first one to ever actually harm Don Armage. They battled for years after years and he was the rebellion's founder against Jark matter, but during a fateful fight, he was frozen in an icy tomb, trapped for hundreds of years. His Phoenix Kyutama keeping him alive.
Allies
Eris
Description: The gatekeeper of the last known safe-haven of the galaxy. Eris, the eternal goddess of the wilderness of her solar system, has kept the pieces to unlocking the lost and thought only mythical ship, the Orion hidden away from those who seek to use its great power for the wrong reasons and protect them with all her might until one who is worthy steps forward and is pure enough of heart to be trusted. For over 1 million years, she has been the protector and guardian over nature and the environment of the universe and casting those who seek to pollute or abuse its resources for evil out with her might. She is among one of the strongest and wisest being in existence. Gaining her trust is not easy. Once Jark matter came, she swore off contact with all mortals, appalled and angered at what the galaxy had become under them. Viewing humanity and other races as hopeless under the corrupt body of Jark Matter.
Orion
Description: Born on a remote far off world deep in the galaxy. Orion was the son of Don Armage who grew up being pampered and trained into being his successor and heir to the throne after him as head of the crime syndicate Jark Matter, his family had run for millennia. However, Orion was unlike his cruel and immoral father, he was a kind generous and wise young man who held very strong moral views on his life and despised those who wished to abuse, power, wealth, and money they had for selfish tyrannical purposes. "Those who abuse power are no better than bullies to me," was his motto and it carried to adulthood. Spending his life defending the helpless and poor from those his father sought to use as pawns in his game for global domination. Eventually, he had the courage to resist his old man. Once he met Tsurugi, Houou Soldier, together with him, they co-founded the rebellion against Jark Matter wishing to liberate and free the galaxy's people and governments from his father's destructive rule in doing. So, he came across a sacred Kyutama that transformed him into a white warrior with immense power that could be used to destroy Jark Matter. But, during a fateful battle against his father Don Armage, in a final blow, turned his own son into stone with a spell and kept him as a trophy for those who defy him.
Big Bear
Description: Once, he was the supreme commander of the rebellion. Big Bear was a wise strong and very intelligent bear-like alien creature who had a lot of passion. He was considered by many who knew him as one of the kindest souls in the galaxy. He gave shelter and nurtured those who he saw were in need or sickly. One day, on a missionary trip to a village in the woods he came across a young infant dragonic alien who was without parents. Not wanting the child to live alone, where it could be harmed, he took the infant into his home and raised him as a son. He named the child Shou Ronpou, after a legend about a mighty warrior who helped defeat a great darkness. He trained Shou from childhood in martial arts and self-defense and taught him how to always be alert and look out for himself. He always taught him to be on his guard, especially, with the rise of Jark Matter in their system one day. However, on a stroll through the forest, a large battalion of Jark Matter enforcers attacked and bombarded their planet and many hundreds of his people were seen killed torched and taken captive. Horrified and angered by this destruction, bear took Shou to safety and vowed to avenge his people and so joined the rebellion to get justice. But one day, during a surprise ambush on the rebellion's headquarters, Big Bear in a final sacrifice gave up his life to defend the rebellion from an onslaught of 1000 troops and Shou watched as two trained assassins kill him.
Jiro Sakuma
Description: The younger brother of Kotaro, 6 years old. Jiro never knew his mother and was mostly raised by his older brother as their father was away often. Jiro is a very, playful spirited young boy who loves to have fun and never let things bother him or make him mad. He idolizes
Kotaro as a hero wanting to be like him and often likes playing hide and seek with him and other games. His happy go lucky innocence is the thing that keeps Kotaro from feeling lonesome and like he has no one with his dad not around. Jiro serving as therapeutic relief for when he feels like no one's there for him. It's because of this, Kotaro strives to makes sure Jiro is always safe and well and often checks on him just so he's alright. He's still too young to really understand why his father really is absent from them. However, he's grown to miss Kotaro a lot after he leaves with the rest of the Kyurangers.
Villains
Don Armage
Description: Don Armage is the head of the intergalactic crime mafia Jark Matter. He is the absolute worst and most corrupt gangster the galaxy has ever known, becoming the heir to his family's crime syndicate. He is ruthless amoral and believes in showing the true power of his empire's might to the galaxy. He had no tolerance for those he deemed are lesser beings who have compassion and concern for others. Seeing such emotions as meaningless and non-important for society. He believes in ruling with an iron fist and not letting up until his victims fill his grip on their throats and chokes them. He was violent ever since his childhood and would torture and do horrible things to everyone around him, which proceeded to adulthood where he grabbed power from his parents by executing them himself and becoming head of the mob. However, he wasn't fully satisfied with just being the head of crime in his sector of the galaxy and wish to extend and expand his grasp onto the entire criminal underworld and become the head kingpin of the universe. So, he began making deals and forming alliances with other crime bosses, corrupt politicians, and others of the galaxy's worst scum and forged a largely growing and domination galactic empire of crime. Hellbent on consuming the cosmos in a storm of never-ending corruption with his lust and desire for absolute rule and power over all. Growing more by the minute. Eventually, he succeeded and almost every single governing body in every single planet was under his clutches. Not being truly happy until every world has fallen into his greedy cold death grip.
Akyanba
Description: Akayanba is one of the most powerful and skilled enchantresses in the known galaxy whose very good at manipulating those who are of weak will or are desperate and filling them with false hopes that their greatest wants and desires will come true. She ensnares and hypnotizes her victims by posing as a fortune reader, using hex cards to ensnares and controls her victims she tells them false futures and gives them the hope of them coming true. These cards are enchanted with dark incantations of desire and want that bring those whom handle on to them under her instantly put influence where breaking free is almost beyond impossible. She has no remorse towards those whom are harmed or shattered in the end, once she's done with them. All she's ever cared for is benefitting herself and using poor desperate souls like slaves her personal ambition for total control over the weak willed she delights and cherishes the very thought of someone having their hopes and dreams shattered she is the ex-wife of Don Armage but stays loyal to him due to him allowing her to perfect and modify her dark spells.
Eriedrone
Description: The former president of Garu's home planet, Eriedrome. He led a very oppressive and highly authoritarian regime on the world, using and abusing the canine like citizens like slaves with having shock collars and shackles put on to them to be used as forceful labor for his entire family who came onto their planet uninvited and took over completely with an iron fist using technology that was far beyond the primitive life Garu's species lived. They were able to effectively able to take over and conquer the world in a matter of days. Eriedrome was a horrible ruler who used his family's wealth and resources to pillage and pollute the once rich lush world and skinned the citizens fur off to be used as coats and clothing for the wealthiest and most high-class businesses in the universe. He had no moral concerns about who he harmed or how badly the people he ruled over suffered. All he wanted was to milk the planet for all it was worth and live as a god unopposed. However, then the citizens rebelled against his tyrannical rule, stealing his family's tech and learning to use this against him causing a great civil war for their freedom. However, in the final fight, desperate for a way to regain his power and control, Don Armage offered him to join his alliance in exchange for a nuclear bomb to unleash on the people and kill its population for good. And he accepted, driving all the species to near extinction on a single instant. However, Garu, survived and now harbors for vengeance against Eriedrone for the chaos and hell he caused.
Scorpio (real name - Venoscarus)
Description: Scorpio was considered a hero of his people who stood up for the defenseless and would always fend off Jark Matter's influence on their world by injecting his personal venom into the spies and agents Don Armage would send to conquer the deserted world and was looked up to by his younger brother, Stinger. However, this man is not the real Scorpio. Growing impatient and infuriated at this one lone person's resistance to his rule, Don Armage tasked a special agent to be sent to Stinger's home to silence him once and for all while he fought hard against him. Venoscarus was a ruthless and entirely without mercy mutated member of his tribe who went rogue and joined Jark Matter as an agent tasked with bringing back children of worlds assimilated by Jark Matter who were considered to have the most potential and bring them to be trained as assassins by the empire. Venoscarus was very well adept in the styles of combat and battle strategy, able to calculate every move one was going to make and know instantly how to counter and bring them down. While Scorpio was strong and put up a harsh fight against him, eventually, he was tripped up and given a strong poison by Venoscarus, killing him. Then, he took Scorpio's appearance and returned to his village and torched and burned everyone in his tribe alive except Stinger. He told the young boy that their people had been infected with a madness plague that forced them to go crazy telling him to insane and he was forced into ending their lives, telling the young child to come with him and he would train him to resist the plague. Stinger not knowing his brother was being impersonated and really murdered joined him. Venoscarus filled his head with lies that manipulated him into being as cold and cruel as him, telling him only those who are strong deserve life and the weak perish for being insignificant. He poisoned and corrupted the boy's mind all his life and besmirched the name of his brother throughout the cosmos.
Madakko and Ikargen
Descriptions: Known as the Gruesome, Twosome Lover Gang of the Galaxy, Ikargen and his wife Madakko are the most infamous and best bounty hunters in the cosmos and the most ruthless. They only care about money and willing to commit violent, horrendous crimes, no matter who gets killed in the process. Ikargen lures his victims in by pretending to be a baker, selling very finely made chocolates and sweets to customers. However, these sweets are laced with drugs that put the customer into a trance. Then, Madakko wraps her tendrils around them and sucks the life from their body. Ikargen serves as the big boss of the duo he is a masterful and very cunning and sly planner. He watches his targets like a hawk, spying on their personal lives, noting down everything they do and what kind of person they are. He studies them very extensively never taking his eye off them once, even going in disguise and interacting with them himself, while also preparing and waiting for the perfect moment to come to them unexpected and kill them with his drugged sweets he likes nothing more than the sound of them rolling in sheer agony and begging for mercy. He is sadistic to his very core, loving to twist his fingers around them to their core and snap the life out of their necks in glee. His wife serves as his muscle, unlike Ikargen, she's more violent and highly unstable in nature, absolutely obsessed with causing death chaos and carnage everywhere she goes, seeing life as one big funny joke and just giggling at the thought of choking some poor soul to death. They make very toxic and very effective pair being targeted by them is as good as a death sentence.
Dr. Anton
Description: A brilliant robot physicist, Dr. Aloysius Anton, has been obsessed with cybernetics ever since childhood believing robots to be the future for all life and are far superior to organic natural life. He's a sadistic and twisted old man who has been performing inhumane experimentations on living beings from multiple galaxies and breaking their bodies down piece by piece and replacing every bit with his own robotic replacements to turn those held captive in his cages into his personal servants. He never cared for free will or individual life, believing it to be inferior and obsolete compared to one mind, dictating all actions one does and to deviate from the hive mindset is to be a degenerate to him. He sees himself as the absolute perfect mind who should be in command of all life under his robotic implants. He observes his subjects da in and day out, pretending to be someone they can trust before he electrocutes them and locks them up in a special containment field where their bodies are dissected alive and have their innards and organic parts including the brain replaced with mind controlling cybernetic implants and transformed into his slaves.
Tecchu
Description: While Jark Matter has not hit the Earth, with its forces like other worlds that doesn't mean the seeds of those who would come under their influence weren't on this world. Before he was known as supreme second in command to Don Armage, Tecchu was originally a human male rocket scientist on Earth who had a large interest in finding life beyond this world and get into contact with them sending probes too far out worlds to try and establish first human contact with alien life. He had a son who saw his father as a hero, thinking his dad would lead humanity into greater heights by being the man who uncovered existence of life beyond humans and dreamed of being a great scientist like he was. One day, he was a loving and very proud father to his young boy named Tsurugi. However, this whole mask of him wanting to find and establish contact with aliens to live in peaceful unison with them was a facade. He desired to contact them and share their technology and weapons, so he could use them to become an almighty ruler over the Earth. Seeing humanity as insignificant and pointless given how often in history they would go to war over things like strikes and pollute the world they were in. Growing to see humans as a cancer on this Earth, and that they must all be exterminated for new alien life to come make the world a perfect place and have him be the last of humanity to educate and teach these aliens how horrendous humans were and it's their mission to fix everything humans have ruined, in his eyes. Eventually, he got into contact with Don Armage who gave him the opportunity to join him as one of Jark Matter's lead generals and lead a full-scale invasion force on the Earth. However, they had failed and would be forced to retreat for now. But, Tecchu had first agreed, giving up his humanity and having his body modified into a cybernetic war machine hellbent on obliterating humanity completely Tsurugi wouldn't learn what happened to his dad till years later.
Daikaans
Description: The troop commanders of Jark Matter, the Daikaans are a collection of the galaxy's worst and most vile members of the criminal underworld the Daikaans serve as Don Armage's fist to those who dare oppose them. To deliver severe swift punishment for defying him and his empire. They are trained to the absolute limit of their physical body to storm world after world with legions of troops under their command and effectively take control in a matter of seconds. They hold no mercy or sympathy towards anyone. All they are about is maintaining their grasp on the worlds under their rule for the glory of Don Armage
Tsuyoindavers
Description: A higher ranking class of soldiers for Jark Matter than the typical wimpy and rather meek foot soldiers that are the Indavers. The Tsuyoindavers are a hybrid, mutated breed made in special chambers that enhance and evolve selected Indavers with the highest potential to the absolute physical limit of their bodies. They are a lot more powerful and are impervious to most attacks to those who try and harm them. They have hardened fire retardant skin with a rubberized scaly texture that's resistant to shocks or blasts of electricity and possess an antidote in their enhanced blood veins that counteracts poisons. They are the ultimate example of an unstoppable wall that cannot be shattered easily, multiple of them serve as Don Armage's personal bodyguards.
Indavers (grunts)
Description: While most see them as meek, wimpy, and mindless servants to Jark Matter in truth, there's a dark secret about the Indavers. They were once a peaceful race of scientists, thinkers and some of the most intelligent beings in the known galaxy who cured several illnesses and made solutions to many problems that plagued this galaxy. They never cared for violence or war, seeing those as harmful things to the development and advancement of civilizations. However, this peaceful nomadic lifestyle came to an end thousands of years ago when Don Armage's family spread their crime wave to their home, captured, and forcefully lobotomized the entire population in a massive surprise attack that decimated their world and turned the Indavers into their slaves, ripped of having their own free will or their own desires and only replaced with following the orders of Jark Matter. Several of them were then cloned without any mind of their own like the Indavers used to have to mass produce a mindless slave army of the once proud intelligent race.
