A girl can dream.

The blond curly haired girl in her plaid red shirt and whitened jeans picked the shiny, red apples smelling the fresh air of that summers' day and taking in the beautiful farmland before her. She had only recently adjusted to the life of a farm girl and the life of a human and taken on living as one of them albeit not being one.

Her cousin Clark joined her and picked the apples as well taking a bite out of a glossy red one, pleased with how good the fruit was this season.

"Kara, you seem distracted, is something going on?" he asked his cousin gently concerned for her lack of speech the last couple of days.

She looked at him and curled her lips into a fake, yet convincing smile. "Nothing is going on, why do you ask?"

"You seem distant that's all." he responded.

"How so?"

"Well for starters you don't seem to have much to say and you seem like you are somewhere else."

"Kal-el I see how you and Lana look at each other," she said hesitantly. "And how you have found somebody, well what if there is somebody for me?"

Clark expression turned blank and he stared at her knowing where she was going with this conversation. "You cannot take that chance, not yet, first you have to learn how to control your powers…," he said though she did not feel like listening, he has lectured her about it and she got the point. No using your powers in front of people that do not know you have them.

"I know, but look at you, Lana knows about you and she is fine and you are happy, so why can't I have that happiness?"

"I'm not saying that you can't but you have to be careful." He answered sincerely.

"So I can?" She beamed at him hopefully.

He smirked weakly looking at her suspiciously. "Who exactly are we talking about here?"

"I'm pretty sure that you know this human too well Kal-el!" she replied.

"Kara you know that Jimmy is taken!" he said hastily thinking about Chloe at the back of his head.

"Who said we were talking about Jimmy?"

"I saw you looking at him,"

"Your eyes are clearly fooling you then." She said picking one more apple and placing it on top of the others in her basket that was now filled completely.

"Maybe."

Instead of super speeding back to the house, she walked instead and once meters away, she turned around and curled her face into an evil grin.

It's not Jimmy." She said and turned back to the house.

Even though Jimmy caught her eye at first, she saw that he was taken and didn't want to ruin Jimmy and Chloe's relationship, because Chloe had become her new friend, but no one knew that only days ago she had seen and spoken to another guy who caught her eye as well, though he was an evil, cunning mastermind and her cousin's ex-friend and enemy she could not deny that he was something else even if they didn't get of to a good start.

A girl can dream...even for the wrong guys like Lex Luther.
