A short, sweet and simple one-shot, I like it.
"Lapis! You're okay!" Peridot shouted, running towards Lapis, getting her in a hug.
"Good to see you too Peridot," Lapis responded, quickly hugging her, even though Peridot wouldn't let go. "You can let me go now," Peridot didn't budge. She seemed to be hugging her more tightly.
"Seriously. Y-you can let go now," Lapis attempted to push her, slightly blushing, her tone a bit panicky, before giving in and actually hugging Peridot back.
As they hugged, their gems began to glow, surrounding them in a light aura, grabbing everyone else's attention.
From the aura, emerged a green, moderatly-sized gem with four eyes. Confused, she looked around at the others who looked at the gem with worrying faces expecting some sort of freak-out.
The gem slowly took one of her hands and touched the bridge of her nose, expecting a gem to be there. Relieved, the gem began to smile and hugged herself.
"So glad you're okay," she said softly to herself.
