Zetsu was so tired. As he strolled through the Akatsuki hideout, heading for his room, he yawned. Normally, his half-white, half-black face would show no signs of emotions whatsoever. It didn't this time either.
Zetsu thought about his life. About his years as a young plant/boy in the hidden village of grass. How the whole village was scared of him, just because of his looks. The fact that he was a cannibal, even when he was that young might have bothered them to… But just MIGHT.
Hell, Zetsu didn't see why they feared him. He wondered, wasn't it completely normal to walk around with a venus fly-trap covering your head, and part of your body? And to eat dead bodies, whatever their origin? Zetsu shrugged.
Oh, now, there was his room. He entered, and headed straight for bed. He didn't even bother to remove his Akatsuki-cloak. He liked it too much. He just lay down on the bed.
"It's hard being Zetsu…" His white side said to himself, in a rather normal, but a bit hoarse, voice.
"Yes, indeed." His black half answered, in a more robotic and stiff voice.
Zetsu turned in the bed, and cuddled up like a cat. At least, he tried to, not really successful, due to his giant venus fly-trap.
That day, they had had an Akatsuki meeting. Leader-sama had, as usual, praised the most of the Akatsuki members for their good work, killing of random shinobi and catching whatever jinchuuriki… Of course, he also had cursed over the fact that a few of the Akatsuki members had happened to die, due to some silly Konoha shinobi. But the Akatsuki organization would of course deal with these trouble makers as soon as possible.
As always, the one and only thing Leader-sama had told Zetsu was: "You go now, Zetsu, and get rid of those corpses…"
Not that Zetsu minded. In fact, he enjoyed his part of the organization, being the spy and corpse-eater. But sometimes he felt truly left out. He really loved his fellow murderers and misunderstood freaks of nature. He even liked Tobi, the newest addition to the secret organization of Akatsuki. He truly was a… GOOD boy…
Zetsu shrugged again, where he was laying in his bed.
"What if I would leave tomorrow… I really want to see the world…" his white side said slowly, voice full of emotions.
"No! I have to stay here." His black side said monotonous to himself.
"Yes, Leader-sama might get upset. But I'm so tired." His white half argued on. He had already made up his mind. He was going out on a journey. He wanted to see all the other villages, and interact with all the people there. He wanted to see more of the world. However, Zetsu was never even thinking of leaving Akatsuki. No, that was his home, his life, and his meaning. He would come back.
"Well, I'll wait until early morning tomorrow." His black side concluded, face completly experssionless as always.
"Yes, by that time, all the other Akatsuki members should be sleeping." His white side agreed.
Zetsu turned over to lay flat on his back, and then went to sleep, dreaming of all the wonderful things he would see…
