The markings of the end of the long journey
The bittersweet nature entwined with death and despair
Looking up to the ink-black sky
The signs of a snake's tongue or heaven's welcoming light
Hands over the ears, blocking out words of death
Dark magic born from the light against Earth's laws
Indeed it is from a demon siding beside one
A boy who lived, would come to die
The end, a war of what was to be of the world's destruction
Promises of power stemming from hatred and greed
Those who laugh at death, be able to take a mortal's final breath
Those who fight in the light, hope for a future without bloodstains
Painted by what is never meant to be
These three who stand by until the very last moment
An unbreakable fortress finally near peace
Those of the darkness beckon their deaths, intentional or not
A boy who welcomed death was granted another life
The demon who wanted true immortality was cast out
In the very end, it was rebirth that was brought
A new beginning from the twilight of the gods
