The small and disorganized bedroom nearly shook to the beat of the rock music that was being played loudly though the stereo, placed firmly on the American's nightstand. He mumbled along to it, knowing every word as he flipped the page of his colossal book. He was about halfway through, which shocked him; he thought he wouldn't make it through the first couple paragraphs but it was actually quite interesting what he was reading. There was no knock on his door before it burst open. He scrambled to his feet and threw the book onto the floor then tried to act casually as his brother stepped inside.

"I thought that when we agreed to live together we'd abide to each other's rules." Canada whined sweetly. "Could you please turn your music down? I'm really tired and I did a lot of work today, all I'm asking is some peace and quiet so I can slee-"

"Sure dude," America promised. "No problem." He stood with his hands holding each other at his front, looking at him oddly.

Canada raised an eyebrow then went to walk to the stereo, but stopped when his brother followed him. "Is everything okay?" He asked, a bit concerned.

"Oh yeah," He replied, kicking the book underneath the bed so it could join weeks of dirty clothes. "Perfectly fine."

The lighter haired blonde took another step and turned the knob on the stereo so that it was only audible to the one in the room. "There. That's better, thanks." He told him, pretending to dismiss America's odd behavior. "So, how long do you plan on staying home today? I thought you had a doctor's appointment today?"

America picked up a backpack and slung it over his shoulder then grabbed his leather wallet off the dresser and shoved it into the front pocket of his jeans. "Yeah, I do. i was just leaving. No worries, it's just a check up."

"I wasn't worried anyway." Canada shrugged. "You looked alright to me."

The dirty blonde gave a slight grin and slipped out the door. The Canadian looked around and tried to figure out America's odd mood. He remembered that he'd kicked something under the bed so he got down on his knees and lifted the bed skirt. He was greeted with dirty clothes and crumpled up papers but he found something else. It was a red, blue and white hard covered book.

He grabbed it and slid it out from under the bed. In the back there was nothing but quotes on how good the book was written in gold writing. He curiously flipped it to look at the cover and almost instant he broke into a smile. He tried to hide it even though no one was there to see it.

The Complete Summary of British History

Was written across the front in the pattern of the UK flag. Chuckling, he set it on the dresser and found a sticky note buried in one of America's desk drawers.

No need to hide. I think it's cute, I just hope you didn't lose your spot.

He wrote in a pen then stuck it on the cover. He thought he'd be nice and clean his brother's room, even under the bed. It took about an hour of really hard work but he liked the feeling of doing nice things for people. Canada placed his hands on his hips and sighed happily. He then turned to look at the book. He then grabbed it and put it on the bed, leaning against the pillows so it would be the first thing America saw when he walked in the room. America just might beat him up for this, but that would be okay. It was worth it.
