Chapter 1
"Greninja is unable to battle, Mega Gardevoir wins! And Diantha remains the Champion of Kalos!" Was the announcement that everyone around the world heard, the applause and cheering was booming throughout the arena where two people stood before the battle field.
"But of course, let's not forget about the challenger, the very first person to successfully bring Diantha down to her final Pokémon and force it to mega evolve. A feat that no-one else has done before!" The announcer continued getting even more volume added to the cheers for the amazing ability and battle.
Ash and Diantha returned their Pokémon with Ash looking a bit down in the dumps, I mean who wouldn't, coming so close to being a champion, but falling short just at the end.
"That was a great battle Ash, best one I've had in a while, your Pokémon are great" Diantha spoke with a warm smile with sweat glistening down her face from the intense match.
"Yes, it was Diantha, you were just a bit stronger than I was, but maybe next time you won't be so lucky." Ash replied with a smile that didn't reach his eyes but Diantha didn't get to dwell on that due to Ash sticking his hand out for a handshake which she gladly reciprocated.
After the handshake Ash walked off with his hat covering the top part of his face creating a shadow over his eyes so that no-one can see the tears being shed.
XOXOXOXOXOXO
After his Pokémon were healed, he let them out and started talking to them congratulating them for the amazing work they did during the important battle, but he could tell by their body language that they were upset that they couldn't go a little longer or been able to put out more damage, something that Ash picked up on and decided to let them know they did their best and he wasn't disappointed in them.
However, as the days went on Ash started to doubt himself about if he was cut out for being a Pokémon Master or just being a champion of a region in general. Even after he arrived back in Pallet Town he was feeling down in the dumps and didn't really leave his room that much, and if it was it was to either eat, go to the bathroom, or train his Pokémon.
However that was going to change very, very soon.
'Man, I still don't know what to do. I feel like I'm letting not only myself down, but also my Pokémon down.' He thought sadly to himself, still wallowing in self-pity. He was currently lying on his bed just looking up towards the ceiling with a blank face, but his eyes told the story, they were filled with a lost look in them
'Still my Pokémon are training super hard, especially Serperior and Meganium, I wonder why though' Ash thought completely oblivious to the feelings towards him for those two.
"ASH KETCHUM!" Uh oh. Ash knew who that was, it was his mother and by the sounds of it she's either really mad or really happy.
"Yes, mom?" Ash shouted back, he was really hoping that he really wasn't in trouble, same with Pikachu who had a nervous look on his face.
"Come down here, you have a visitor" She called back up to Ash, now this got him curious, normally visitors were fans of his always trying to get autographs or a battle against him, but that stopped once his mother threatened them via scary momma face and threats of ass kicking. However if it's a visitor that's actually worth something its pretty new to him.
"Coming!" Ash replied back, coming out of his depressed/bored state of mind for this moment, Pikachu on the other hand went from his resting place on the bed, to his spot-on Ash's shoulder.
As Ash went downstairs he was met with his mother Delia in the living room, but his attention was on a man that he hasn't met for a few years. The man was Scott the boss of the Battle Frontier facilities.
"Scott! What a surprise seeing you here!" Ash said cheerfully as Scott stood up and went over to Ash and proceeded to hug the dear life out of him.
"Pika!" Pikachu exclaimed while waving with his paw, and Scott saw this and had one hand travel to Pikachu's chin and rub it, getting a 'cha' from him.
"Scott...need...air" Ash struggled out.
"Hehe. Oops sorry Ash." Scott replied with embarrassed smile, Delia on the other hand just sweat dropped at the display of a grown man acting more immature than her son
"Anyways Ash, first of all congratulations in the champions battle even though you didn't win it's a feat that not many trainers can do" Scott said patting Ash on the shoulder, Ash seemed depressed as he said that, so did Pikachu.
"Second of all what do you plan to do now?" Scott followed up straight away, hoping to get a answer he can work with.
"I...honestly don't know, I've been trying to think about it but I really don't know what to do now." Ash replied honestly causing Scott to frown for a second before it split back up into a mega watt smile.
"My offer that I made all those years ago still stands you know." Scott said, still with his brilliant smile on his face.
Ash's and Piakchu's heads snapped up at that, rather surprised at hearing that his offer, even though it is about 4 years old, is still standing.
"Really? I thought you would have found someone else by now." Ash said surprise showing on his face.
"Pika, pika." Pika also nodded with a surprised face.
Scott shook his head in a no fashion and put his hand on Ash's shoulder and had a serious expression on his normal jovial face.
"No, you are the only one who has the skill and the only one who I fully trust to become a frontier brain." Scott said.
"Well, I really don't know what else to do, where do I sign?" Ash asked the question and Scott's face turned from one of seriousness, to one of a kid in a candy shop.
Suddenly there was a massive document that appeared on the table and a pen somehow found its way onto the table as well. Almost as if Scott was expecting that answer.
Ash turned towards Scott and gave him a deadpanned expression. "You were expecting my answer, weren't you." Ash asked.
"I took a valid guess." Was Scott's genius reply to the question and proceeded to sit down on the couch opposite where Ash now sat, Pikachu found his way onto the table and started reading with Ash.
As Ash was reading through the documents, he also read that he will not be able to spend much time away from the facilities when it is in challenger season and will only be able to leave the facility for about a month at max.
As he was nearing the dotted line to where he was about to sign, he also saw that he will be paid monthly, but it was a set salary, with holiday benefits, if they are reasonable and even having insurance in case of sickness or family emergency.
"Okay, you have yourself a deal Scott." Ash spoke out for the first time since he started reading the document and then picked up the pen besides the document and signed on the dotted line in his full name.
As he put the pen down he looked up at Scott as he was picking up the document, and he folded it carefully, and put it in his pocket for later legal documentation. Scott stuck out his hand with a small smile on his face and Ash gladly reciprocated it.
"Welcome to the team Ash. I know one person is going to be very, very happy to see you again." Scott said as he started moving back to the front door and then he turned around and spoke. "Pack some belongings, we leave in thirty minutes." he then walked out the door and went towards his car.
Ash looked from the door, then to his mother who had a happy expression on her face, but you could see some tears welling in her eyes.
"Get to it young man, you have thirty minutes." She playfully scolded his with a finger waggle in front of his face.
He and Pikachu did a mock salute and rushed thier way upstairs, to pack his clothes and some personal belongings.
oWo
Ash was standing in front of the door, with a modified version of his Kalos outfit, instead of it being blue, it was now a deep red colour and had golden trimmings on it and had purple pockets, a personal gift from Diantha herself. He still had his trademarked cap on his head, something that will hardly ever leave his sights.
He had two small suitcases holding his personal items and some changes of clothes, in them and had Pikachu on his shoulder. He was about to walk through the door, but he quickly turned around and dropped his suitcases and rushed over to his mother and gave her a powerful hug.
"I'll miss you, honey." Delia said as she held Ash close to her, they were now about the same height which made it easier to hug him better, she was also shedding tears as she was about to watch her little boy leave the home once again.
"Same, mom." Ash said from within the hug as he was rubbing circles on his mothers' back for her to stop sobbing and giving her comfort.
As he pulled away from the hug, he also saw Mimey, his mother's Mr. Mime have a sad expression on its face, it didn't either have a broom in its hands like it normally does. He walked up to it.
"Make sure to take care of mom, alright?" Ash asked, petting the Pokémon on the head, getting a small smile from the Mr. Mime.
"Pika!" Pikachu exclaimed with his paw in the air and his tail now petting Mr. Mime on the head.
"Mime. Mime!" Mr. Mime exclaimed in a mock salute expression, while Ash just nodded his head.
BEEP BEEP
"Well, that was my signal to leave. Bye mom, I will be sure to send some money over to you sometime." Ash said before heading to the door and picking his dropped suitcases, just as he was about to open the door he heard something very embarrassing.
"Don't forget to change your underwear every day!" He heard his mother shout from beside him. Which made him face fault on the ground. He however got back up quickly.
"Alright!" Ash said, not being able to retort to that comment, just a mother thing to embarrass their child, and finally opened the door, and looked back one more time with some tears flowing down his eyes and waved with his free hand, then closed the door behind him.
He walked over to Scott's red convertible with the Frontier symbol on the bonnet, and carefully put his baggage in the back seats of the car, then finally went into the passenger side.
"You ready?" Scott asked rhetorically while revving the engine to the car.
Ash put on his seatbelt for safety reasons, and, he had the feeling that he would need it. "Always." He said with a grin on his face, that was the only response needed from Ash before Scott absolutely floored it and the car rocketed off.
"Say Ash, where is your Pokémon party?" Scott yelled over the thumping winds from the convertible.
"Don't worry, I have them in the pokeballs in my second suitcase, I don't exactly trust your driving to have them on me and on my belt." Ash shouted back as he finally settled down from a bump they went over with Pikachu barely holding on and already had swirly eyes.
Scott just grinned and put his foot down on the accelerator even harder, making the car go even faster, while somehow still retaining control of the car and not getting pulled over for speeding.
"AHHH!" "PIKAAA!" Ash and Pikachu shouted out over the winds as the camera panned behind them with the car chucking a lot of small pebbles and spewing out dust behind it.
oWo
The scene changes to a panning shot of a city that had a couple of tall skyscrapers, but the camera was focusing on a moderately tall building, about half the height of Silph. Co, the outside of the building was mostly bronze with hints of purple and had the Frontier Symbol on the very top of the building and had the sign just in front of it to let passers-by know what the building is.
"I must say Scott, I didn't know that this is where the Battle Frontier HQ was and in Saffron no less." Ash said, as he was carrying his suitcases into the building with Pikachu on his little perch with Scott leading the way. As the automatic sliding doors were opened Ash was met with a marble floor and some wallpaper of various Pokémon on a black and white background.
"There are many things, you don't know about us Ash." Scott said mysteriously before leading him to the elevator, when they got in it, it was very spacious and was very clean. Scott pushed the button to the very top floor, which is on the 10th floor.
"You excited Ash?" Scott said breaking the tension between the two with some elevator music happening in the background.
Ash shrugged his shoulders. "It's a new experience, it will take a while to get used to." Ash replied the question.
Scott just nodded his head with understanding.
DING
As the elevator door opened, it revealed the 10th floor, a beautiful office room, spacious enough to fit a desk that looked the size of an average dining room table and had beautiful wooden floorboards made of oak and had Victorian styled wallpaper with some golden inscriptions on it. Before the desk had two comfy looking armrest chairs that had the same style as the wall.
Scott walked over to the desk and sat in the office chair whilst looking serious... well as serious as one can get wearing his blue and white floral shirt and white shorts and flip flops as he kicked his feet on top of the desk.
"Sit." Was all he said and gestured to one of the seats opposite him and then put his hands behind his head and leaned back a bit into the chair. Ash complied and sat down on the chair and he briefly sunk down into it with how soft the fabric is.
"Now, I know you already signed the paper for this to happen. But there are some ground rules you need to know. And I take this very, very seriously." Scott said not having his usual smile on his face but was completely serious and his voice didn't hold any of his usual jovial tone.
"OK, what are they?" Ash said quite unnerved by a serious Scott same with Pikachu who was slowly inching away on the desk.
"Rule 1 – Always, and I mean always be ready for unexpected meetings." Scott listed off the first rule, Ash nodded to that one because it sounded important.
"Rule 2 – Always accept challengers who have proved themselves throughout the Battle Frontier challenge, and even accept giving them hints or useful tips in how to train Pokémon." Scott said holding up his second finger.
"Rule 3 – Always play your best, if I find out you have been 'throwing' matches, there will be serious consequences." Scott said whilst giving a small glare that could be seen and felt through the sunglasses he was wearing. Ash nodded his head to that one, everyone deserves to work for everything and not be just handed to them. That was saying something, because half of his Kanto badges were given to him.
Scott seemed to lighten up as he was about to state his final rule, as Ash could tell by his megawatt smile on his face that could put the move flash to shame.
"And finally, have fun and get along well with your new colleagues." Scott said cheerfully, while Ash got a swear drop from the final rule, as he already got along fairly well with them already.
"Ok, those seem fair enough, I will always do my best and never throw a match!" Ash exclaimed with his hand over his chest and had a look of pure determination on his face, along with Pikachu doing a little fist pump in the air also having a determined expression on his face.
Scott smiled even wider hearing that. "Fantastic!" He exclaimed then, he leaned forward, going into a normal position and opened a drawer that was on his side of te desk and pulled out a massive folder. As Scott opened the folder, there was a small booklet, along with some other paperwork in it.
"Now, this is the fun part; choosing your facility, think this one through once you've chosen it, no going back." Scott said, handing over the booklet to Ash, who just took it in his hands and started looking at all the different designs of facilities, along with Pikachu who was now on his shoulder.
Scott watched as Ash flipped throughout the booklet, whilst taking some notes on what his and Pikachu's gaze lingered on.
"Ooh look at this one Pickachu." Ash said and brought the booklet up closer to his shoulder so his partner could have a closer look.
"Pika! Pika! Chu." Ash saw Pikachu nod his head towards that specific design.
"You think this one suits us?" Ash questioned, wanting his partners input... well squeak of affirmative.
"Pi!" Pikachu exclaimed and started rubbing his cheek against Ash's.
"Alright buddy." Ash said, giving Pikachu a scratch under the chin which he leaned into, getting a satisfied 'chaa' from him. "Scott, we choose this facility to become the brain of." Ash spoke and gave the booklet to Scott on the same page they agreed on.
Scott took it and gave it a quick once over, then looked back up to Ash. "Really, this one will take a while to build Ash, are you sure?" Scott asked, wanting a positive from Ash, all he got was a positive.
The design Ash chose was a facility that looked like a massive fortress, about three stories high and the booklet said that it could take up a small forest in length, made of marble on the inside, and had some deep blue glass along the outside. It held up to thirteen rooms, five of which were only available to the Frontier Brain himself, the rest was opened to public.
"Alright... if you say so." Scott said leaning back into his chair, rubbing his temples trying to figure out the amount of money and resources this will take.
"Where do you want this located Ash?" Scott said still looking up at the ceiling and rubbing his chin.
"If it isn't too much... is it possible to build it in Pallet Town?" Ash asked with a nervous smile on his face, and with Pikachu giving a puppy dog eye look to Scott.
As soon as Scott looked down from the ceiling and towards Ash he was met with the stare, but quickly looked away. "Why?" Scott asked the simple question, giving an unreadable gaze towards Ash and completely ignoring Pikachu.
"Well... it would put Pallet Town on the map, and I want to give something back to my hometown." Ash admitted, much to Scott's surprise, he would of thought that he wanted to boast about him being a Frontier Brain in his own hometown, but instead he wants to give back to his little community. Ash always does the unexpected.
"Consider it down, it should be built within a year." Scott said to Ash who jumped out of his seat and started dancing along with Pikachu, making Scott sigh with his antics.
"There will be a meeting in this building at exactly 12:30pm, don't be late. Other than that, you are free to go, just take this with you." Scott said and put a PokeNav down on the mahogany desk.
Ash stopped dancing and went up and took the PokeNav and he did a mock salute with Pikachu and went back into the elevator.
Once the elevator closed Scott released a sigh and leaned back into his chair. "Kids going to do great things. I'll keep this a surprise until the meeting... I wonder how Anabel is going to react seeing her crush again." Scott mumbled to himself and finally went on the computer and typed away.
oWo
"Pika? Pika?" Pikachu said confused as to why Ash was heading towards the gym.
It was true Ash seemed to have a small spring in his step as he was walking towards the Saffron City gym, it was the first thing he seemed to do was head to that place.
"Don't worry Pikachu, I just want to talk to an old friend." Ash said to Pikachu, who seemed to lose his nervousness, last time they were in this gym, his friends were shrunk into dolls.
Ash took a deep breath before he entered through the doors, calming his nerves down, from the unfortunate run before he was in Kanto.
"Wow. This place looks better than before." Ash whispered out in shock as he looked through the décor of the place, instead of having the creepy vibes to it like it used to when he first entered it know conveyed a place of happiness, the room was a mixture between magenta and gold and had some forest green trims.
"Pika." Pikachu nodded with that statement and looked around in wonder at the new décor.
Ash then felt a chill go down his spine, along with Pikachu, he then felt someone tap his shoulder and he whipped his head around that it almost looked like he broke it. He found nothing there, then his hat started floating up in the air and Ash had to jump to get it back down. He felt Pikachu freeze up on his shoulder and when he looked he saw static coming off his fur and he was quivering on his shoulder.
Ash turned his head again and was met with a purple ghost in front of his face.
"Haunter! Glad to see you again buddy." Ash said happy to see his/Sabrina's Haunter, Haunter decided to clap his hands together and give a long lick to Ash's face that made him paralysed.
"Pika!" Pikachu let out after recovering from the short paralysis spell.
"Haun!" Haunter exclaimed out and pulled a bomb out of nowhere and made it blow up in Ash's face, making him covered in soot and had swirly eyes.
Ash shook it off after a minute and laughed at Haunter's usual antics.
"Well, if it isn't Ash Ketchum." Ash heard a voice coming from behind him, he let a small smile appear on his face and turned around to see the more mature Sabrina.
Sabrina has shorter black hair, it is now around shoulder blade length, and she wears a tight-fitting spaghetti strap pink crop top that shows her midriff and white slim fit pants attached with a black belt around her waist and pink slip on shoes. She also wears green and black bracelets on her wrists.
"Hey Sabrina!" Ash said as he ran up and gave her a surprise hug, which made the normally cold and indifferent Sabrina blush because of his muscles he gained.
"You look good in red, makes you look more... mature than blue." Sabrina spoke through the hug, she felt ash squirm a bit in the hug when she said that.
She let a small smile grace her face and she awkwardly reciprocated the hug, although she momentarily frowned when she felt something... off in Ash.
"Not that I don't mind you being here, but why are you here?" Sabrina questioned as she got out of the hug and pet Pikachu who was still uncomfortable.
"Well, I just signed something important here, and I wanted to do a couple of things here, so I decided to drop by." Ash said seriously trying to ignore the Haunter that is constantly trying to do some things to him.
Sabrina raised her eyebrow delicately when she heard Ash say that he done something important here, she decided to tease him a bit. "What was that important thing you did Ash or was it because you wanted to visit little ol' me." Sabrina asked teasingly while leaning forward, making her chest seem bigger than it is. Surprisingly she got a reaction out of Ash that she did not expect, he became as red as a tomato, and Pikachu was snickering at his trainer's misfortune.
"U-uhh, Yes... I mean no... just... uh." Ash stuttered out still red as a tomato with his hands flailing about and with metaphorical steam coming out of his ears, he stopped as he saw Pikachu, Haunter and even Sabrina in a hysterical fit of giggles.
Ash pouted and stomped his foot on the ground childishly. "It's not funny!" He shouted out, which only invoked more giggles from Sabrina, much to his dismay.
"Hehe, sorry Ash, it's just funny seeing a runner up in a big league acting so childish." Sabrina giggled out with her eyes closed with her hand in front of her mouth to cease the repetitive giggles escaping.
Ash seemed momentarily depressed again about being called runner up, he however, got rid of it and placed a small smile on his face thinking that Sabrina didn't see it, but too bad for him she did.
"Well, what was your reason coming here Ash?" Sabrina asked seriously and crossing her arms over her chest and lost the semi-cheerful expression on her face.
"Well, I wanted to see if I could get my Haunter back?" Ash asked with a confused face, Sabrina had a neutral expression on her face, she was about to answer him but then Haunter poofed in front of her and had this begging expression on its face, and somehow even made use of the move baby-doll eyes, which made Sabrina's mental defence crumble in the wake of such a move.
"Sure." Sabrina said with a sigh and that made Pikachu and Ash do a little victory sign and did a little happy jig, with Haunter doing a happy clap.
"Hey, uh Sabrina.' Ash spoke out after his little outburst, he caught Sabrina about to turn away and exit somewhere.
Sabrina stopped walking and turned her head slightly and looked towards Ash, giving him a creepy look with her hair shadowing her eyes, with only her mouth and lower face visible. "Yes, Ash?" She spoke out neutrally.
"I was wondering if you still had your Kadabra?" Ash spoke out to her, not bothering to check what just hit his shoulder, as it was either Pikachu or Haunter playing a joke on him.
"As a matter of fact, I do, why?" Sabrina asked curiously as she crosser her arms over her chest, she noticed that Ash was briefly drawn to her chest making her feel something.
"Well, I've read that Haunter and Kadabra both evolve via trade. I was wondering if we can do that?" Ash asked with a small tilt of his head, both Ash and Sabrina saw Haunter's eyes get even bigger than before and nearly pulled a puppy dog eye look.
"OK, let's go." Sabrina finally said after a moment of silence.
"Yes! Come on!" Ash spoke out happily and took Sabrina's hand into his own and bolted off to the nearby Pokémon centre, with Pikachu and Haunter trailing behind as Pikachu fell off in the rapid movement Ash possessed. He didn't see the massive blush form on Sabrina's face when he pulled her away from the gym.
-oWo-
Ash and Sabrina found themselves in front of a massive silver and golden machine that had two slots for Poke Balls and had a massive screen in the middle, near the top of the machine.
Ash took Haunter's Poke Ball and put it in one of the slots available with Sabrina doing the same on the opposite end.
"Ready?" Ash asked to Sabrina as he looked towards her, he got a nod in return and Ash and Sabrina both pushed the ready button and a whirring noise was heard and the two Poke Balls glowed, and they were shown on the screen going to the other side, with the silhouettes of the Pokémon shown.
As both Poke Balls came back onto the stands, they both took them simultaneously and released the Pokémon inside them.
"Gen!" Gengar called out and happily floated in the air and circled both trainers with a gigantic smile on its face.
"Kazam?" The newly evolved Alakazam looked around confusedly, before spotting both Sabrina and Ash and let a small smile appear on its face before gently lifting off the ground and floating over towards them.
"Return." Both trainers stated before returning the Pokémon in red flashes of light and put them both back on the machine and re-did the entire process.
As both trainers got their own Poke Balls back and they both gave a brief smile to each other. "Thank you, Ash. He will now nearly complete my team." Sabrina said clipping her Poke Ball back onto her belt buckle.
Ash chuckled and clipped his Poke Ball behind his full party, to make sure he doesn't use that during battle.
"No problem." Ash said before he felt something touch his brain. He stopped and listened, and he heard a feminine voice of 'Follow me' in his head, which freaked him out a bit but still complied as he followed Sabrina out of the centre and back towards the gym.
-oWo-
Sabrina led Ash to the gym again and was now in a private room, which was only accessible to the gym leader or those who have been invited personally to the room.
Sabrina turned around and gave Ash a serious stare with a neutral face plaster and crossed her arms over her chest, not even having the aura of a friendly person anymore.
"Why." Sabrina asked in a cold voice, Ash was momentarily caught off-guard with how much she changed when she turned around, it went from 0 to 100 real fast.
"Why, what?" Ash questioned tilting his head to the side with a metaphorical question mark bubble appearing above his head, even Pikachu doing the same.
"Why do you have... some spiritual presence in your body?" Sabrina asked yet again taking small steps towards the now blinking Ash.
"You mean, that the things that I was sensing was not normal?" Ash asked, nearly having a correct assumption on to what he was thinking this phenomenon was.
Sabrina shook her head and said with a little more emotion present in her voice. "No, what your feeling was your Psychic power start to kick in. It happens in times of complete emotional meltdown and can be very dangerous left unnoticed or unpractised.
"Ahh. So that's how I can sense some Pokémon's feelings... although it is only Pikachu, Greninja and my female Pokémon." Ash drawled out and murmured out the last part with a questioning look and had a small light bulb appearing above Pikachu's and Ash's head.
Sabrina took more steps towards Ash and let her eyes glow a bit with Psychic power and placed her hand firmly on Ash's shoulder, preventing him from moving.
"Uhh?" Ash blurted out, it was then he felt very different, he almost felt lighter and could feel some of his surroundings and he could almost clearly imagine things in his mind.
As he looked at his body, he saw that he was glowing an eerie but beautiful purple with some very light blue spots.
"There. I just heled you unlock it fully." Sabrina said letting her powers die down and removed her hand from his shoulder, but was nearly overcome by different emotions she has never felt before... a warmth in her chest.
"Wow, I feel different." Ash said to Sabrina and was looking around and he could see that he could sense some outlines around every living being, some being strong like Pikachu which had a very strong yellow outline or harder to spot like Sabrina's outline which was amethyst purple.
Sabrina giggled quietly into her hand. "A part of yourself has been gained. Although I'm surprised your body didn't implode in on itself because of small traces of foreign Aura." She pointed out, this caused Ash and Pikachu to freeze in thier tracks... Ash was that close to dying. "But, imagine my surprise when they bonded together and now coincide in you." Sabrina finished and looked in amazement.
Ash rubbed the back of his head and gave a sheepish laugh. "Yeah, my journeys have been like that for all these years." Ash laughed awkwardly.
"Anyway, I think I need to train you to handle your new gift. It will take about a month at most." Sabrina offered to Ash who looked on wide eyed, he thought he will have to learn this himself.
"I see. Pikachu, you can take my Poke Balls and let everyone out. Find somewhere safe around this area." Ash sadi seriously, Pikachu looked conflicted for a second then finally nodded his head and scampered off his shoulder and managed to take Ash's Poke Balls and go towards the door.
Sabrina unclipped a single Poke Ball and released the Pokémon inside. When the light died down it was revealed to be a Mr. Mime, who started miming and creating walls. "Mr. Mime, guide them to the back area and have some fun with them." Sabrina asked, Mr. Mime nodded its head and ran off towards the Pikachu.
When everything was quiet, and the Pokémon left, Sabrina let out a quiet chuckle that had a sadistic undertone to it, she creepily turned her head towards Ash and her eyes gave an eerie glow. "Now. Let us begin." Sabrina said before she started levitating random objects in the room towards Ash.
"Uh, Sabrina... what are you doing." Ash said while taking a few cautious steps backwards as Sabrina slowly closed in on him, she had many different items floating in her psychic powers.
"Dodge and try to concentrate on moving them away... I'll even go easy on you." Was all Sabrina said before she started rapidly firing the objects towards Ash.
"AHHHHH!" was the only thing heard from within the building and surrounding area, with multiple Spearow's and Pidgey's flying away.
-oWo-
As Ash made his way back into the Battle Frontier HQ, after a solid month of training with Sabrina with his new 'psychic' powers, he can now easily understand a Pokémon's body language and able to detect and label Pokémon's emotions more easily.
It was during the month that Ash started feeling different towards Sabrina, he was almost pulled to her and when he thought of the other people he was with or met during his journey's some would have the same 'pulling' sensation, some stronger than others. He mentioned this awkward sensation to Sabrina, who took a rough guess and said that this was 'emergency programming' when he asked what that meant, he got the mischievous reply from Sabrina 'It's basically your powers telling you, that it wants your bloodline to continue.' Ash was stunned, he will know try to find his family lineage later and put more research from professionals in terms of aura and psychics.

As the elevator door opened Ash was met with 7 different people all sat in a line, with Scott being just in front of them sitting with a smug expression on his face as he witnessed the different reactions done by the Frontier Brains.
A certain purple haired girl was blushing at the sight of Ash after many years of not seeing him in person, he was much different in person now than he was on TV.
All of the other Frontier Brains were sceptical and held some curious expressions of Ash being here in an important meeting that was abruptly stopped with his intrusion.
"Welcome Ash." Scott said haphazardly as he watched Ash stand by the elevator.
"Pardon me sir, but why is Mr. Ketchum here?" Brandon asked with a small amount of confusion, but he hid it well from his stoic façade.
"We were told to come here within a month due to an important meeting, so what's the news?" Gretta asked more than annoyed about being here for an hour with nothing new happening, Scott took a quick peak towards Anabel who was still sending a few looks towards Ash with her blush returning full force.
"Well, I would like to say that we have finally found our eighth and final member for the Battle Frontier." Scott revealed to the Frontier Brains who all looked excited, knowing that some of the members can lay off a bit on strength, there has been very few challengers passing even the second Frontier Brain.
Noland stood up and spoke out towards Scott. "Well, where is he or she, and when can we meet them?" The rest of the Frontier Brains who also nodded their heads in agreement while Anabel prayed silently to Arceus that it was her crush.
"All I can say is he is a very skilled trainer, and he will be the final Frontier Brain of the test and that his facility is being built right now." Scott teased the Frontier Brains even further, he enjoyed toying with his underlings sometimes.
"For the love of Arceus, Scott, please tell us who this 'him' is." Anabel finally spoke out and had a look of anger towards Scott for him teasing everyone.
"Hehe, Anabel so impatient, I will like to introduce everyone to their new work colleague, Ash Ketchum, the Frontier Brain of the Battle Fortress." Scott dropped the bomb on everyone and had to hide the smirk that was threatening to split his face in half.
"WHAT!" Every Frontier Brain excluding Anabel shouted out in sheer surprise and looked towards Ash who had an expression filled with mischief and amusement.
"Yo." Ash said lazily with a small wave of his hand with Pikachu popping from behind his legs and sat beside him for a little bit.
"Pika!" Pikachu exclaimed and sprinted back onto his spot, on Ash's shoulder.
"Ash!" Anabel exclaimed and ran towards Ash and gave him a massive bear hug, which he gladly returned.
"Hey Anabel." Ash said happily as he was in the hug, he then looked around and saw that most of the Frontier Brains were either smirking at him or having amused looks as they saw how different Anabel acted.
Anabel soon realized that they were being watched... she quickly let go of Ash and stood back a bit with a formidable blush staining her face as she squirmed under the amused gazes of everyone in the room.
"I missed you too Anabel." Ash replied slyly, his personality has changed during the month of mental training with Sabrina, along with some physical training, he has become more aware of a female's emotions and how they feel with his new powers, and right now Anabel is very love-struck with him.
"I-I, mi-missed you too." Anabel spoke out shyly after being caught out in such a position.
Ash gave each of the Frontier Brains a handshake, while they welcomed him aboard and on the team.
"Now, Ash. The construction will take a while to be complete in your hometown. So, you can use this as the opportunity to train some more." Scott said to Ash as he managed to calm the entire team.
"Thank you, Scott. I assume you want to know where I am training?" Ash asked, he saw Scott nod, but he also saw that the others were interested.
"Yes, that will be most useful to contact you." Scott replied to the question just asked.
"Well... I was thinking of training for some time on Mount Silver, then I plan on visiting the Alola Region that was discovered a while back." Ash said, everyone in the room had wide eyes and jaws dropped when they heard Mt. Silver.
"Are you crazy! Mt. Silver, the most dangerous place in the Kanto and Jhoto region!?" Anabel screamed out in dismay as she scolded Ash on the place he wanted to go.
"Yep." "Pika!" Both Ash and Pikachu exclaimed happily, he might have matured a bit, but he still was reckless.
"You must have huge Electrodes to do this Ash." Brandon said with his voice being stoic, but you could hear a small amount of pride in his voice.
"Yeah, no kidding, many tried to scale that place but ended in failure, what makes you think that you can do it?" Greta asked while staring down Ash waiting for his answer.
"Because, I believe that we can do it, together with me and my Pokémon." Ash declared boldly, you even saw his Poke Balls shaking along his belt.
"Pika Pika" Pikachu said while comedically tapping Ash's shoulder.
"I hope your right." Anabel said quietly, thankfully no one heard her.
"Alright Ash, you have about a year and a half before the facility is built." Scott said, Ash nodded his head and made a mental note to remember how long he had.
"Alright, thank you guys, I guess I will see you later." Ash said before giving a small wave along with Pikachu before heading back towards the elevator to make a call with Professor Oak and let him know what is happening.
After the elevator closed with Ash in it, Lucy decided that it will be a good idea to tease poor Anabel and maybe even Greta.
"So... when will the wedding be?" Lucy asked slyly without even looking towards the girls.
"LUCY!" Both girls shouted out in anger and embarrassment with massive blushes on their faces and started chasing her around to pin her to the floor.
"Same old Ash, able to change the way people feel when he is around. I haven't seen Greta act like that nor Anabel in a very long time." Noland said with surprise etched on his face as he saw what the girls were now doing.
"Indeed." All other males said simultaneously.
"Ash has some great potential, I can't wait to work with him or face him in the upcoming tournament that is happening in two and a half years." Brandon said before he went over towards the elevator and go back to his facility.
The rest of the Frontier Brains could only nod and had to wait and see what the future had in store for them.
END CHAPTER
Ash will be more mature in this story because of his Psychic powers and because he isn't 10 anymore.
This is not a betrayal story, they are cliché, I hope this story brings some originality.
I will try my best to incorporate relationships the best I can, Ash already has females who like him, but they haven't said anything and Ash is dense. There will be some conflict with the females who love Ash and it will be solved... maybe in a cliche and overused way but I will make it happen, it won't happen straight away though.
