I Do

A Switched at Birth One Shot by Grey Eyed

Bay Kennish was trying not to panic. She needed to babble to someone, but she decided to just sign rapidly instead, to no one. Her rant was interrupted by some hands on her shoulders. Turning around, she found her father. Not Angelo Sorrento, but the one she grew up with.

"Dad! You scared me, I thought you might be a rapist, or a kidnapper sent by the CIA, or…" she trailed off, taking a deep breath.

"Bay! I know you're nervous, but you seriously need to get over that babbling problem of yours," John Kennish laughed, taking her hands. "I'm nervous too, honey. You're my baby girl, well, kinda, and I have to give you up." Bay rolled her eyes.

"Da-ad," she groaned.

"I know, I know. Well, some weird man in a suit is gesturing that it's time to go." With a laugh, Bay grabbed her dad's arm and they were off, walking down the aisle together.

She was wearing a beautiful strapless A-line, organza gown with a flower at the waist, and ruffles on the skirt. The man at the altar thought she was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. Her and her dad walked down the aisle in complete silence, everyone's eyes on them.

I love you, she signed, reaching the altar.

I love you, too, he signed back.

The minister droned on and on, and neither one of them paid attention, instead looked at each other, lost in one another's eyes.

"Do you, Bay, take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband, as long as you both shall live?" he asked. I do, she signed.

"Do you, Emmett, take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife, as long as you both shall live?"

"I do," he said, speaking for the first time since he was eight, and all for her, Bay Bledsoe.

Their reception passed in a blur of happiness, their first dance being to El Bantu by Ray Barretto, the same song they danced to all those years ago.

A/N: There you go, my first SaB one shot/story/whatever. I hope you liked it and you'll review, it wasn't that good, but that's just my opinion. I love El Bantu, but Say You Like Me by We the Kings is another good Bemmett song I read in another fanfic on here. Anyway, is anyone else trying to learn sign language because of the show? JW.
