"We're out of chocolate." Erza gave Gray a look that clearly meant he was way out of line. "What? I'm allowed to want chocolate."
"No you're not." Erza told him flat out. The mere thought of chocolate, its rich taste, the way it melted on your tongue, was making her feel queasy. Stupid kid never liked any of the things she did.
"Fine. What do you want? I honestly have no clue. I thought you liked chocolate."
She did, which was why she had eaten a whole five pounds of it, which was why it was suddenly so unappealing. "Nothing."
"You can't eat nothing." Gray argued, looking down at Erza's stomach. She was the only person in all of Magnolia who didn't seem to understand that she had to be taking care of herself for her child's sake. Was she really going to starve the poor thing?
"Well I can't eat anything either, because if I do I'll puke." Erza informed him, crossing her arms and resting them on her ever swelling belly.
"You're why we're out of chocolate so fast, aren't you?" Gray accused. Erza only glared at him in response.
They'd been stuck together a few months now, ever since Makarov had caught Erza trying to take a rather violent job after beginning to show-which was when she'd finally admitted to being pregnant. Getting her to name the father had been like pulling teeth. Gray was still losing sleep trying to figure out when Erza and Jellal could have possibly found the time for such activities amidst the whole Nirvana fiasco.
Since Erza was suddenly forbidden from taking on the sort of job she was actually qualified for Gray had 'offered' to let her stay at his place until she was fit to take on work again. Really, though, he'd just been asked by Makarov to make sure the stupid girl took care of herself.
"Well that kid can't develop on twelve bags of chocolate. There's some medicine for stomachaches in the cabinet over the sink," purchased only after Erza's arrival, "take some of that and tell me what you want for dinner."
Erza continued to glare.
Figuring he could just call this a mood swing and let her off easy for the sake of his manhood-as she had yet to accept that she wasn't supposed to be swinging swords around-Gray went and fetched the medicine himself.
Just found this random scene in a folder for a story about a bunch of kids in highschool who travel to parallel worlds. I don't know why it wasn't in my fanfic folder and I can't honestly recall writing it. I don't know if it ever had an intended plot, earlier beginning, or ending, but I assure you I AM NOT WRITING ANY MORE OF THIS. Not only would I not know what to do with it, I have other projects I'm working on. This is all there will ever be.
