Rock N' Roll Love, chapter one

James's POV.

I sat waiting as Ryan Secrest called off numbers, none of them mine. I was sitting in a cushioned chain against a wall waiting to audition for American Idol, season eight. My torrets mixed with the fear in the pit of my stomach and made me twitch more than usual. My eyebrows shot up and I crinkled my nose. I tried to shrink in my chair, I felt like someone was watching me, someone was thinking 'Look at that freak.' As a nervous habit I pulled the scarf from my back pocket into my lap and hugged it.

"Number 1877 please come up." Ryan called. The most beautiful man I've ever seen stood up, making a certain part of me twitch. He looked totally calm, not the smallest bit afraid of rejection and I wondered how. He walked up to Ryan with pride and flashed a huge smile. Ryan said something I couldn't hear, I guessed it was along the lines of "Good Luck." Only after he disappeared into the audition room did I realize I was staring. He was so beautiful. He had the perfect black hair that cropped over his forehead but not his eyes. And those eyes! Those perfect, perfect blue orbs. I swear someone could get lost in them; I was surprised Ryan didn't. His skin wasn't pale but he wasn't orange either thank god. He had on normal clothes, a black v-neck and a pair of jeans, even though he looked like he should be modeling some million-dollar clothes line.

I got lost in my thoughts and he came back out before I knew a second had passed. There was a famous gold ticket in his hand and the prettiest smile ever on his face. Ryan congratulated him, saying to the cameras

"Adam Lambert has just won over the judges! How do you feel, Adam?" so his name was Adam, Adam Lambert. The name rolled off my tongue so easily. Why was I acting this way? I see pretty guys all the time and I don't swoon over them! What's different about this Adam guy?

"It's just…..WOW, Ryan." Adam replied, excitement dripping from his voice. Holy shit! His voice was even prettier than him! I wondered what it sounded like when he sang. To soon the cameras stopped filming and Adam Lambert made his way out, probably going to tell friends about his victory. As he was about to pass me he noted that I was staring. Our eyes met for a grand total of half a second and my heart hammered. Something told me this wasn't the last time id see Adam Lambert. I hoped that something was right.
