When will this finally end?

It's been a couple months since the events of Infitinty war and everyones come back but things haven't been so geat for Peter. It's been a rollercoaster for him what with nightmares, flashbacks, and to top it up another alien invasion happens and now they have a new mission to do and why does Peter get the feeling that they are not quite done with the whole stone thing?

He was back on Titan. Why was he back on Titan? Why was he ever gonna be back on Titan? He tried to think of an answer. Was it because of a mission? Did Mr Stark calls him to go on a mission with them and it needed to be done on Titan? No Mr Stark had said that he hoped he'd never see this planet again-ever! He even promised Peter that they would never have to see it again, that they'd never have to go back there. He promised just after he'd returned from the soul world and had a nightmare one night when he stayed at the compound. Wait, maybe. Maybe this was a nightmare. Maybe he was dreaming. That's right. Yes, yes this was just a nightmare. But then why did it feel so real? He could feel the ground, the hard, rocky soil from underneath him.

The ground felt like it was dead, no life to it. The ruins of old buildings were still there, the orange sky with two moons-everything was still the same. And then there was Thanos, right there staring at him, smirking. Smirking in a way that he knew he won and that they lost. They lost. They lost. Those words repeated in his head, it echoed throughout the planet in a neverending repeat. Thanos held all the stones in his hand and suddenly Peter felt himself disappearing, just like he did. He looked down to find his legs turning into ashes, and he fell over. He sat up and leant onto his elbows a little and h saw Mr Stark standing there, not doing anything except repeating one sentence over and over again mimicking with 'you lost.' It was starting to get too much and his breathing became quicker and quicker and he tried calling out for help but he couldn't. He turned his head to face Thanos again and said one thing that shook Peter to the core."It's not over." Then everything went black

He awoke with a scream. A piercing, agonizing scream that he just could not stop. He could not stop the tears from falling down his pale face. He could not stop the shaking from his hands and tremble through his body. He couldn't help himself from clutching onto the blanket for dear life afraid that if he were to disappear again. He needed something to hold onto. Something to assure him he wasn't going to disappear again. God, he was terrified. He was terrified of disappearing. Was he gonna disappear again, is that why he had that dream? Were his senses warning him that at that very moment he was going to disappear? No, no. He couldn't disappear. Not again. He couldn't leave his Aunt. He couldn't leave Ned and MJ (They've been hanging out since the Vulture incident.) He just couldn't?

Peter? He suddenly stopped. The world seemed to come to a halt and he stopped shaking and crying just for a second. That was his name. Did someone say it to him or did he just think it? Was someone there? With him? But how? He was alone he was so alone. He couldn't find anyone. He was so alone.

"PETER!" That was the voice again only it was louder this time. His hopes got up. Maybe it was someone, but he couldn't be too sure everything was so dark and he couldn't see.

"Peter, open your eyes, please. You can do that for me can't you?" There was that voice again. Peter listened to it. It was soft and gentle and warm. It was like hope, hope that he wasn't alone. Hope that-that someone was there and he wasn't going to disappear. Wait. Did they say to open his eyes?

So, he listened. He listened to the most calming, most gentlest voice ever and slowly very slowly opened his eyes. Once he opened them he realised he was back in his room in Queens. He was in his apartment with May and he was safe. He was safe from disappearing. Safe from space. Safe from Titan and especially safe from Thanos. He wasn't going anywhere.

He leant more into the person who was hugging him. He listened to the sound of their calming, nurturing voice telling him that he was ok. He was going to be alright. Everything was fine now and ok.

It took him a minute to realise that this voice was his Aunts. May was here. May was here with him. He was safe with her.
