The Library
Thea sat on a chair curled up, resting an old hardback book on her lap. She was in the library, reading in peace. The old hardback she had found in the giant library that was here in Thierry's mansion.
It was peaceful because most of the new Daybreakers –mainly, Ash, Quinn, Rashel, Jez, Morgead, James, Poppy and Delos were fighters- which meant they were training most of the time. Sometimes Mary Lynette or Maggie joined her in this peaceful room, reading and enjoying the peace. But most of the time it was just Thea, reading through the many spell books Thierry owned.
She didn't have much else to do, she couldn't fight because she wasn't a fighter and Eric was at work or helping out with missions during the day. He still loved working with animals, and he was doing a online course to get his degree in veterinary skills (I don't know if that's a real degree hehe).
The door opened quietly and Thea looked up. Eric stood there, with a small grin on his face. She smiled back and he walked to the chair next to hers and sat down.
"Hey," he smiled, speaking quietly, trying not to break the peacefulness.
"Hey," she replied, smiling, "How was work?" she asked. Eric shrugged.
"How was your day?" he asked, taking the book from her hands and ignoring her complaints as he put it down on the nearest table.
"It was ok, thank you," she said, watching him, watch her. He smiled at her and before she realised he stood up and picked her up, sitting back down with her on his lap. She leaned against him, feeling safe against his chest.
"I love you my witch," he whispered softly against her ear. She looked at him.
"I love you to Eric," she smiled and kissed his lips.
