Hermione packed up her bag slowly, and watched from the corner of her eyes as Harry and Ron got up from their table and started to head out of the dungeons.

"You coming, Hermione?" Ron called out to her.

"Uh, in a bit," Hermione said. "I spilled some of my potion, don't wait for me."

"Okay, if you're sure," Ron and Harry left the dungeons. Hermione gathered all her things and walked out of the dungeon. She quickly turned into a secret hallway.

"Hey there mudblood," Draco sneered.

Hermione rolled her eyes, "you foul loathsome evil little cockroach." She grinned and took a step closer to kiss his cheek.

Draco smirked and wrapped his arms around her waist, "Still hanging around Potter and Weasley?"

Hermione sighed, "They're my friends, I can't just ditch them."

"If I have to see that slimey git Weasley put his bloody hands on you one more time—" Draco started.

"Is someone jealous?" Hermione asked, amused.

"No!" Draco protested, "Why would I be jealous of a—"

"An ex-boyfriend," Hermione finished for him. "Draco, we broke up. We were fighting too much, and he doesn't understand me, like you."

Draco was about to respond when there was a noise outside the entrance. He flung open a broom cupboard, and they hid in it. They waited there, panting, as footsteps traveled down the hallway. Draco put his chin on Hermione's head. The footsteps stopped.

"Are they gone?" Hermione whispered.

Draco nodded, "I think so."

"Good," Hermione reached up and kissed Draco.

At that moment, the door flung open. Draco and Hermione jumped apart as they stared into the shocked face of Pansy Parkinson.
