"Hinata...Hinata! Please Hinata WAKE UP! Please! I beg of you, wake up!" , a voice echoed through the mounatins through the trees. It was hoarse and filled with sobs. The rain that fell hard was mixed with blood and tears. So much blood... The blood seeped through the victims clothes to the ground. It traveled down a small stream into a larger lake below.
"Sakura! Please save her! Please save my cousin! Save her!", Neji begged as he shook Sakura's shoulders.
"I'll do my best Neji. I promise." Sakura said as she began to heal. Sakura grimanced.
How could things have gone so wrong? ! I don't understand! Sakura slowly looked to her left to see Naruto leaning against a tree. His orange jumpsuit was torn and dirty. He was trying to hide the tears with rain. But Sakura could see right through it. She looked back down to her buisness and suddenly felt tears prickle at her eyes. Sauske came quietly around and put a hand to her shoulder.
"Don't cry Sakura. You need to stay focues on Hinata. Alright?", his voice was sturdy and monotone. As if nothing was going on. He was only doing it too keep Sakura calm.
He looked down as he felt Sakura's shoulders shaking uncontrollably. She couldn't stop the waterfall of tears streaming her face.
She sniffled, "A-alright..."
How could things...Have gone so wrong?!
The question reeled through Sakura's head as she slowly looked down at her task at hand. Hinata layed there with her eyes closed. Blood pouring from her mouth and bruises on her face from the gory fight. She finally looked at her hand covered in Hinata's blood over the hole in her chest. Sakura bite her lip and tried to control herself.
Neji lifted Hinata's head and set it in his lap, lightly whispering to her and stroking her bare forehead. Sakura looked back at Naruto who was in the same postition. Sakura closed her eyes.
