"Speaking in Japanese"

"Speaking in English"

A family of seven entered their new home, after the airport panic that they had gone through all they wanted was to sleep.

Well most of them.

A young girl, who was constantly watched by her mother, kicked her shoes off and - ignoring her mother - started to run upstairs.

She could hear her mother's posh British accent in her head. "Lorraine, get back here!"

Lorraine. Oh, how she hated that name, Lorraine this, and Lorraine that, ladies don't climb trees Lorraine. Worst part is, Lorraine isn't even her name.

Her name is Raine, Raine Yukimura. She was the black sheep of her family ... a black sheep with white hair.

Her mother was pushing her to become a lady, a gentle and wise lady, her father was incredibly tall, all of her younger siblings were much smarter than her.

She was no were near the lady she has to be, she hated always eating the same thing, constant lessons in piano and various dance styles, she was incredibly short and she needed glasses for reading and watching TV, she was just an average student, no straight A's for her.

Her mother had pushed the white-haired girl into hobbies she never wanted to do. Horse riding, ballroom dancing, knitting, gymnastics, the list could go on for days. All Raine wanted to do was swim.

She pushed the door closest to the stairs, with her luck she probably got the room closest to the stairs.

She was used to it by now.

On the other end of the room she could see her bed.

"Rule number ten" the teen started. "All proper ladies must have a big bed" - Raine sat down near a pyramid of boxes - "that's such a loud of crap."

As she started to fill her bookshelf, one of her sisters barged in.

"You have to" - she took a deep breath - "go onto your balcony."

Raine gave her second youngest sister a questioning look.

"Don't question me, just do it already!"

The teen unlocked the glass sliding door - after fighting with the curtains - and stepped out into the cold spring air. As she going to start yelling at her sister for pranking her, Raine's red eyes stopped as she saw a muscular young man with short, olive brown hair, in the house next to hers.

And he was just beginning to notice his new neighbour.

"Shit."

She slid the door shut, pulled the curtains together, and didn't move an inch.

Her heart was beating so fast that Raine was sure that she would have asthma attack.

Her neighbour was none other than Makoto Tachibana.

Raine's best friend.
