I own nothing
She could have cried out to her ladies. Even in her half drugged stage she could she could feel the sticky fluid running down her leg; she could smell the distinct coppery smell. She could feel in her heart and soul that her little baby was leaving her slowly and painfully. And just when she had gathered the strength to call out for help the image of her husband entwined with that Seymour slut keep her from crying out. She had learned the painful and cruel lesson that his love was short that while he might have loved her at one time the interest and affection was slowly dying and that currently her only saving grace was the promise of a healthy boy. Without it him Henry would get rid of her in an instant, she didn't posses the type of allies necessary for her to remain his wife is he did not desire it. So she said nothing because if nothing else she had to think of her daughter. If she said nothing the loss of blood would eventually kill her and he image of the sweet Elizabeth that sweet intelligent little girl running to her arms crying "Mama" gave her the strength to keep silent. If there was one thing Katherine taught her was that going peacefully would make things better for her daughter. If she died peacefully Elizabeth would be save and that matter more than her life.
So she closed her eyes, tried to steady her breathing, hoped that none of her ladies would come in to check on her and waited. Before the darkness claimed her she said a prayer and an apology to her unborn baby for the life he would never leave for it could have been such a beautiful golden life.
Hours later Henry finally decided to make an appearance in the Queen's Chamber, he figured by now his wife had calmed herself down enough to be reasonable. After all he had done nothing wrong it was a king's right to find other means of pleasure when his wife was unable to fulfill her obligations. And it had only been a kiss he though really nothing to get upset about especially for a woman of her status. Certainly Katherine would have never made such a spectacle of herself.
With the announcement of his visit everyone bowed and curtsied." Please rise, I have come to check of the Queen how has she been"
" She has is sleeping Your Majesty" Nan announced trying to sound calm and confident despised her desire to tell the King just what she thought about him right now after all for someone who desperately wanted a son he certainly not making things easy for her mistress to enjoy a calm and peaceful pregnancy.
Henry simply nodded his head in acknowledgement and walked into the inner chamber. He passed at the entrance to examine Anne. From where he was standing he had a perfect view of her, she looked so peaceful sleeping so calm so completely different from the mad enraged woman who had hurled accusation at him a few hours prior. As he approached the bed a peculiar smell caught his attention but he attributed it to various potions scattered by the stand near her the bed.
The loud scream alerted everyone and in an instant the all ladies and grooms were in the room. The sight of the King pulling back the bed cover to revel the large blood stain covering Queen Anne was enough to freeze everyone, but the cries of desperation as he yelled her name and gathered her body in his arms would haunt them all for years to come.
