Alex Family- Alex is sick.
Is was a beautiful day in the reservation. The boys were staring 3rd Grade, Kimmy start pre-School & Lorenzo goes to a school for special need Children. Gia called the boys down. Boys!? Alex came downstair still in the PJ's "Cough Cough". Honey I think I caught something from work at the Hospital. You know when your a Nurse, You work around a lot a patients "Cough Cough" . Gia went up to feel his forehead. Oh Honey I'm sorry. Simba came downstairs. Dad you don't look so good. Gia turned to Simba. Daddy's sick. Where's your brother's? Their Coming. Alex talked. Simba, "Cough Cough" Upstairs in the closet with Lorenzo's medical Supplies are Lorenzo's straight catheters. Get four of them & put then in his bag."Cough Cough". Gia turned to Alex. Why don't you go straight to bed, I'll take care of everything. Alex Respond. Okay but first I need to call the Hospital & tell them I'm not coming in "Cough Cough". Alex went back upstairs. Gia give the kids their lunches. Nitro looked up at their Mom. Mom. you forgot that today is free lunch on the first day of School. Oh that's right. The bus up front. Gia took Kimmy to Pre-School & came back home.
Gia was on the phone with Melman. Melman? This the Gia My husband is sick, Can you come over to look at him? Melman spoke on the other end. Sure. I'll be over. Upstairs, Alex was in bed. Melman knocked on the door & Gia answered, Hi Melman I'm glad you came. So were is the patient? Upstairs Gia answered. Melman grabbed his Doctor's bag & followed Gia.
They came in the room. Melman asks Gia to leave so Melman can exam. Alex. Melman opened his Doctor's bag & pulled out a thermometer & put it under Alex's tongue. Meantime he got out his stethoscope & listen to his heart & lungs & took his blood-pressure. Melman pulled the thermometer out & red it. Melman looked in his ears & Mouth. Okay Alex Say"Ahhhh". took the tongue depressor & place it on his tongue while he shines a bright light in this mouth. Melman notice his throat was red & did a throat culture. Last thing he did that he felt his neck & tummy. Well Alex, You just have a common cold. Melman gave Alex a light sedative & some anabiotic for the bacteria in his throat. Get some rest. Thanks Melman "Cough Cough". Melman left the house. Thanks Melman. Gia said. How can I pay you. Melman responded. Don't worry. It's on the house. Melman's pager went off. Well I need to get back to the Hospital. Make sure your husband drink lot of fluids & he under the covers to stay warm. Gia waved goodbye to Melman. Later Gia was making chicken soup for Alex & brought it upstairs & looked at the clock. Oh my gosh I need to pick up kimmy from pre-school. Just stay in bed & have your soup. Gia gave Alex water to drink. She picked up Kimmy & came back home. Kimmy went upstairs. Daddy, I made you a get well sign. Kimmy gave it to his Dad. Oh Honey that is so nice thank you. Gia went up to Kimmy. Honey let's leave your Dad to rest. Let's go downstair & get lunch & make cookies before the Boys come home. It was 3:20pm & the Boys were coming home. Later Gia was mixing up Mustard Plaster socked in a cloth.& went upstairs. Gia unbuttoned his top & applied the cloth on his chest. Alex respond. What this? It's a old home remedy that my Mother used to use this when I was sick, Just relax while I apply the cloth on your chest..five minute later, Gia took the cloth off & washed Alex's chest off & buttoned his shirt back up.
The next morning, Alex was feeling a lot better. Alex talked to Gia. Gia? Your Mother's home remedy worked. I can breath again. Well that's great. Kimmy can downstairs all stuffed up. Alex looked at her. Oh No She must caught my cold. Better get your Mom's recipe ready my love. Well I can't do that you see because of her age, It will burn her skin. The boys left for School & Alex went back to work. The End
