Alphonse sighed as he grabbed on to the wall, he felt like a million bucks, why wouldn't they just let him stand up and walk around?

"Alli, I feel like, ten trillion dollars."

"Okay, but you need to stay seated," Alli laughed lightly, she must've been joking when she said that and Alphonse was actually allowed to stand up!

Al made to stand, discarding the ice pack he held with a flick of his wrist.

"Alphonse! Sit down!" Alli scolded, shoving the man back into the chair he had been sitting in.

"But, I'm unstoppable, I'm a suit of metal and nothing can stop me!" Al complained, glaring at Alli as she rolled her eyes at him. He tried to stick his tongue out at her, but ending up getting stuck on the gauze.

"Careful, sweetie, you need to keep the gauze in your mouth," Alli chided, handing the man the ice pack.

"But, I'm freaking armor, I can do it, Alli!" Alphonse moaned, he made to stand, but Alli pushed back in the chair.

"No, we have to wait for a minute, the doctor has to tell us to go with your medicine, don't you want that?"

"...no, I know I can do it now."

After another little talk about why he couldn't stand and the doctor giving Alli the medicine and allowing Alphonse to walk himself out.

Once out in the waiting room, Alli signaled Ed and Becca, telling them it was time to go and they all piled into Ed's car together, Alli and Al taking up the backseat, Alphonse taking up more than half the back and Alli the rest.

The drive was filled with Alphonse's muffled talk of random nonsense.

"...and what if there isn't anything to drink at home and I can't have anything to drink and then I'll be sad!" Alphonse said seriously, looking at Alli with wide eyes and a little bit of shock as Alli smiled reassuringly at him.

"I think if you ask nicely, Ed will let us stop at the store and pick up some tea."

Al's eyes widened and he turned his attention to the man trying not to laugh at his younger brother.

"Ed! We need to go to the, to the store!" Al said urgently to the blond.

"Sure, but I'm hungry so why not a drive thru?"

"But, I need to get tea!" Al said.

"I just bought you tea, Al," Becca scolded from the passenger seat, shooting Alli a warning glance to not egg on Alphonse.

"But, what if, what if Peaches ate it?" Al asked, trying to lean forward, but was held back by both the seat-belt and Alli.

"Well, then I'll go get more, but right now, we're gonna get you home so you can rest."

Once at home, Becca keeping Ed from the drive thru because it was almost dinner time, Alli sent a very confused and concerned Alphonse to bed, promising to check up on him in an hour.

And in an hour, Alli found the man in the bathroom, not looking too good.

"Hey, how you feeling, sweetie?" Alli asked, sliding in and shutting the door quietly.

"I don't enjoy this, Alli," he groaned, glancing up at her pitifully from his spot on the floor next to the toilet.

"Oh, honey!" Alli, smiled at him and turned to rinse a washcloth in the sink, ringing it out and placing it on Alphonse's neck. Al looked up gratefully at her before turning back to stare at the toilet and growl at it.

"Uh, Alphonse?"

Al stopped growling at the toilet, blinked a few times before shaking his head and sighing, "maybe not all the laughing gas is worn off..."
