Co-workers and Lockets
Jason's point of view
I opened my little silver locket near the end of work. I looked at Piper's face, so delicate and beautiful. Perhaps not delicate though. She fights monsters really good. I work part time only Sunday mornings with a bunch of tough guys who don't take Sundays off. Piper was with all the others who are driving to pick him up he couldn't wait for them to come. Then his eyes shifted over to the seven off them when Leo came back. Calypso was out of the picture, but she didn't mind.
"Look at this kid. He has a little locket. So cute." The guy who announced that was looking quite pleased with himself and called over his squad. Bobo was always looking for opportunities to get him. A locket? Perfect. "Who's that? Your crush who hates you?" Jason glared at Bobo and spited out "She's my girlfriend. I bet you never had one." One of Bobo's friends squinted at the picture. "Bobo! That's her! She's the one in the magazine my daughter buys!" Bobo's eyes bulged "She is!" Jason was completely confused, but still smirked. Bobo's friend was gaping when he said "You are dating McLean's kid! Do your parents know?" Jason was positive Piper wouldn't like to be called 'McLean's kid' but he still replied. "I think my dad does." Jacob, the friend who keeps asking these questions, said "So your mom doesn't know?" Jason calmly stated "My mom died before we started dating." Jacob questioned again "So you live with your dad?" Whoa, what is with all these personal questions? Jason replied "No, I don't live with him. But wouldn't you guess, my ride is here!" The co-workers watched him leave.
Jason bolted out of the building towards the limo. They only used the limo because they wanted the seven to fit. Jason was currently regretting that decision. When he was jogging to the limo Piper bounded up to him and hugged him. He hugged her back and whispered "Hello Beauty Queen." Piper in return whispered "You too, sparky." She then raised her voice and happily said "In the limo we go!" She seemed to just realize that all of Jason's co-workers were staring at her, she shouted "go back to WORK people!" By that time all the others were out of the limo too and watched all the workers close the windows synchronized. The seven were cracking up all the way to dinner.
