The sun shined bright, peeking through the curtains and Dani pulled the covers over her face as her eyes adjusted to the light. She pulled the covers back down her face, and her eyes fell upon the sleeping figure next to her. She smiled to herself as she shuffled closer to her girlfriend's body for heat. Santana stirred as Dani rested her arm around Santana's waist. Santana smiled as she opened her eyes, noticing Dani grinning shyly at her.
"Morning," Dani whispered as she tucked a strand of hair behind Santana's ear.
"Good morning," Santana moved closer to Dani, letting her girlfriend wrap her arm tighter around her waist, "How long were you watching me sleep?"
"I wasn't watching you sleep," Dani received a raised eyebrow from Santana, "Okay, maybe like two minutes!"
Santana laughed as she pulled Dani in for a short kiss. Their lips met and Dani's head started to spin. She loved kissing Santana, if she could only do one thing for the rest of her life it would be kissing this girl. They pulled away and Santana blushed as she watched Dani lick her lips, clearly wanting more.
"What?" Santana asked as she noticed Dani staring at her intently.
"I love…" Dani caught herself and quickly redirected her sentence, "I love kissing you."
Dani crawled on top of Santana, straddling her hips and cupped her face with her hands. She leaned down, grazing her lips over Santana's, before giving her a gentle kiss. Santana rested her hands on Dani's hips, her fingertips grazing the bare skin right above the waist of Dani's shorts.
"Breakfast?" Santana asked, pulling only a few inches away from Dani.
"Breakfast," Dani agreed as she sat up and they walked out of the bedroom.
Rachel and Kurt were already awake, sitting on the couch gossiping with cups of coffee in their hands. Dani walked over to join them as Santana made her way to the kitchen, getting ready to cook.
"Dani," Rachel said, a smirk forming on her face as Dani sat next to her.
"Rachel," Dani copied Rachel's tone as she smiled back.
"What are you ladies getting up to today?" Rachel took a sip from her coffee.
"I'm playing an open mic today at three downtown, you should come!"
"Uh, what time are you supposed to be there?" Kurt asked looking at his watch.
"Two is sound check,"
"It's almost one right now,"
"Oh my god!" Dani jumped up and ran into Santana's room. She quickly got dressed and ran back out, "I have to go. I'll see you guys there?"
Rachel and Kurt nodded and Dani grabbed her jacket as she headed towards the door.
"Hey, aren't you forgetting something?" Santana asked walking towards Dani.
Dani stopped and turned, smiling at Santana before pulling her in for a goodbye kiss.
"I'll see you later," Dani bit her lip as Santana nodded.
"I love you," Santana's words flowed out like they had been said a thousand times before.
"I love you too," Dani couldn't help but smile from ear to ear as she kissed Santana again before heading out the door.
Dani left the apartment and Santana turned to face her friends on the couch.
"What?"
"Did I just hear you say the l word?" Rachel jumped up from the couch.
"Santana Lopez in love?" Kurt mocked from his seat.
"Okay it's not a big deal," Santana went back to the kitchen.
"You looove her," Rachel continued, "When's the wedding?"
Santana threw her apron at Rachel before walking towards her room, the sound of Kurt and Rachel making kissing noises followed her.
