Every Story is a Love Story (Reprise) –Aida

From deep within the tomb a gentle light still shone

Showing me my path as I ascended to the thrown

Certain in my heart that ancient wars must cease

The lovers' death gave birth to a reign of peace

And their story and my journey and the lesson they provide

Draw their strength and inspiration

From a love that never died

"They called the Order," Remus said. "The war has reached Hogwarts."

"I'm coming with you," Tonks said standing up.

"You can't."

"I'm in the Order, aren't I?"

"Teddy needs you. What if you get killed?"

"He'll have you."

"What if-"

"Stop! Nothing is going to happen to us."

"You're staying here."

Remus pulled on his traveling cloak and left the house. Tonks sat down on the couch and crossed her arms.

"Honey, he's right," her mother said, sitting next to her. "If you're both killed, teddy won't have anyone."

"He'd have you."

"He needs you."

"I need to be there. I'll feel like I'm being a coward and being completely useless."

"If you must go, then go, but think about it. Who are you doing it for, Teddy, the Order, yourself, or to defy Remus."

Andromeda stood and left the room.

The battle at Hogwarts had begun. Tonks ran out onto the battle ground, looking for Remus.

Then, she saw him. He was surrounded by Death Eaters. She began fighting them, too. Soon they were back to back.

"What the hell are you doing here?" he asked angrily.

"I couldn't let you have all the fun," she replied with a laugh and killed a Death Eater.

"What about Teddy?"

"My mother can handle him for a few hours."

"What if you're killed?"

"Always pessimistic."

They said nothing to each other for a long time. All Tonks needed was Remus's back against hers and feel his support. This was for Harry, Teddy, her father, Dumbledore, Cedric, and Sirius.

How many countless others would be killed before the night ended?

Out of the corner of her eye, Tonks saw a flash of green. She no longer felt Remus behind her. Tears sprang into her eyes, but she couldn't bring herself to turn around. She finally turned to look at him.

Remus lay on his back, eyes closed. Tears of sadness and anger ran down her cheeks.

She aimed at a Death Eater, who fell to the ground.

That's for Cedric.

She aimed at another Death Eater, who also fell to the ground.

That's for Sirius.

Another Death Eater fell.

That's for Dumbledore.

And another.

That's for my dad.

And another.

That's for Teddy.

And another.

That's for Harry.

And another.

That's for you, Remus.

Tonks felt a sharp pain in her back, and collapsed.

I'm sorry, Teddy.
