Misty is upset that Ash has forgotten her.Anger makes her throw away his letter.What happens when Ash finds the crumpled letter? And what does his unexpected visit have to do with Brock?And a date contest?My first story.

The Sensational Surprise

Misty got up early and went down to breakfast. When she got to the kitchen she found that her sisters were also up. This was saying something as they were usually up after 12 in the afternoon. They were bending over a piece of paper.

Probably fan mail, thought Misty irritably.

"Hey, Misty, remember the date contest we were having?"- Daisy said.

"Yeah."

"Well, we got the results."

"So?"

"And the winner gets to take us to the Cerulean formal!" Violet.

"He's, like, coming over today and one of us will choose him."Lily

"Can't you guys get real dates?" Misty, exasperated.

"We already have our boyfriends to back us up."Daisy.

"But won't it be cool if, like, the winning guy turned out to be a swimsuit model or something..."Lily dreamily.

"Dream on, sis." Misty muttered before going upstairs to shower.

Re-entering her room after her shower, the first thing that caught her eye was the framed photo of her and a certain raven haired trainer with a Pikachu on his head, and the letter lying beside it.

She had read it so much that she had memorized every word. She picked it up and began reading the untidy scrawl,

Hey Mist,

How are things at the gym? Hope ya don't have any problem with the challengers!

Sinnoh is great. Me and Brock ran into each other again and we've made this new friend. Her name's Dawn and she just began her Pokémon journey. Guess what? I WON 4 LEAGUE BADGES!!!!!!!!

It was tough but I won the in the end!!!!!!!

Gotta go, Pikachu's choking on ketchup again.

Ash.

She finished reading, but by then a terrible feeling had crept into her heart.

Stupid Ash, she thought, he wins 4 badges and the he write to me. It's like he forgot about me.

Reading the part about Dawn made her infuriated. On the impulse, she crumpled up her letter, and threw it out the window.

Meanwhile, outside the gym,

"Misty's gonna be so happy to see us again isn't she?" Ash said, excitedly to Pikachu.

"Pi chu pikachupi" (you love Misty sooo much)

"No, I don't!!!!" blushing madly.

Suddenly, a crumpled piece of paper hit Ash on the head and bounced off.

"What the-?"

He bent down to pick it up.
