Hawke goes to school

Chapter 1: Bright Eyed and Bushy Tailed: The Start of a New Day
"I'm putting my bucket hat on and then I will be ready for my first day within the American education system," said Hawke, pulling his luminous yellow bucket hat over his ears, his eyes bright with excitement at the prospect of finally exiting his 35 year languish in the dark depths of ignorance. Hawke Kirchner was ready to learn. He pulled his little blue shorts up his waist, straightened his ducky-patterned shirt and headed out the door.
As he walked down the street, Hawke heard his name being called behind him. He turned and saw his best friend, Harry and His Bucketful of Dinosaurs, rushing to catch up with him. It was Harry and His Bucketful of Dinosaurs' first day at Buntdale Elementary school as well, and Hawke was grateful to the have the small, redheaded boy, carrying a bucket of plastic dinosaurs, with him. It was comforting to know that he'd have a friend right away.
"Excited?" asked Harry and His Bucketful of Dinosaurs, smiling breathlessly at the podcaster.
"Yeah, nervous too though," said Hawke, smiling back.
All of a sudden the school's golden gates were looming over the pair, busts of the principal Ray William Johnson staring blankly down from pedestals at either end of the great gate. The was a creak and the gates slowly rumbled open, revealing Buntdale Elementary, built from the remains of the great cathedral of Anor Londo by Principal Johnson after the ashen one slew the beast Aldrich who had transformed the once magnificent edifice into a den of filth and corruption. Now there was five classrooms, a cafeteria, a state of the art computer lab, and three water fountains.
It took Hawke and Harry and His Bucketful of Dinosaurs a few minutes to walk up the seemingly endless steps. The steps, built for access by both humans and giants, were crawling with students hurrying to class as well as Silver Knight janitors sweeping busily with lightening-imbued mops. Hawke only knew a few of the other students, and spotted a couple of his friends ahead. Tracer, Shrek, The Entire Cast of Downton Abbey, and the giant Archer named He Help Any Time huddled together a little further up the stairs.
Turning and spotting the duo of new students, The Entire Cast of Downton Abbey except for Dame Maggie Smith who was having a nap shouted, "Everyone look, Hawke and Harry and His Bucketful of Dinosaurs are here!"
"Hi loves," grinned tracer, the temporal stabiliser built by the science teacher, Winston, glowing gently under her flight jacket.
"Aye laddies," Michael Myers, who had painted himself green and asked to be called Shrek just a week prior called in a poor Scottish accent, "you're welcome in me swamp anytime."
"If you're ever lost or stuck on homework I help anytime," said He Help Anytime, his voice booming from above.
"Come on," the Entire Cast of Downton Abbey except for Dame Maggie Smith who was having a nap said kindly, "we'll show you the way to the first class."
