KISSING YOU
AUTHOR'S NOTES: This is a little short poem I wrote, told from the perspective of a much younger Alex DeLarge...who describes a tender moment shared between himself & his sweetheart Angela Westbrook (my own character). I hope you enjoy it, & feel free to review when you're done. (smiles)
Dedicated to lovers all around the world...& my sweet Angela...
Your kisses taste as sweet as wine...
They bless me with a joy divine
As you promise to be mine
Now & forevermore
I smile when I hear your quiet sighs
And see the deep blue in your eyes
With his kiss, this young boy tries
To heal your inner sores
Oh, Angela, my darling dear,
Feel no sorrow! Have no fear!
Nothing can harm you, for I am here
And with you, I will stay
This is the moment I've dreamed of!
Let the sunlight pour from above
As you kiss me & vow to love...
Yes, love me each & every day!
I want your lips, your body, your soul
To make my broken spirit whole,
To mend my poor heart's gaping hole
Until the wounds are healed
Your kiss is ointment for my pain,
An arch of colors after the rain
My lips touch yours, & I grow faint...
Am I ill? No, it's love I feel!
Tulip petals, pink as summer's roses,
Press 'gainst mine as we touch noses
One eye shuts, then the other closes
As I sink into sweet bliss
I linger in your tender embrace
And nuzzle your soft, pretty face...
It seems as if I've entered a better place,
Now that I've been taken by your kiss
