What was she supposed to do? Hands clenched tightly to the metal she sat on. Closing her eyes she could almost hear his melodic voice. The accent that sent tingles down her spine and the words that amused her to no end. Thinking about their little word battles made her smile. Picturing those emerald green eyes made her not feel so cold. She always wondered what she liked about him best. She could almost giggle. Was it his fashion sense when it came to his pimptastic suit? His cunning as he thought every plan through to the last thread? Maybe it was just how he treated her? Sure, things started off on a rocky path. They were enemies…their love was never meant to be. A stab of cold rushed to her heart, but she shook her head. No! She wouldn't think about the bad. She would only think of the memorable moments their shared. His lips, oh his kisses! They were to die for! One moment their lips would press. A simple peck full of so much love, but it would become passionate the next moment. Full of promises for the future. Promises that made her heart soar. His touch had become so soft. Running his hands through her hair he always complimented her hair. Mentioning how it reminded him of the light of the Sun. How her hair seemed to burn with such an intense color. It shined in the light and even in the dark he could see its light. No longer were her fists clenched but instead her heart swelled. She wanted to see him! Before…it happened. Holding in the tears she just smiled. It was alright. He was free, she would give her life for him. Then came the sound of metal clanging. Slowly opening her eyes ready for her sentence she was shocked to see Suki.
"Suki?" Looking at her friend the other smiled as she jimmied with the lock one more moment before unlocking the cage. "What are you doing?" Rubbing at her cheeks she hadn't realized she had been crying. "Did you really think I would let them keep you here locked up? I wasn't going to wait out the sentence." Opening the door Suki looked through over the area for a moment before putting her attention back on the redheaded girl. Arien had quickly moved to the entrance of the cage. Peeking out she looked towards Suki but something was shoved in her arms. Looking down she noticed the roughly packed backpack. Looking up at her best friend Suki smiled wide, but Arien noticed the faint tear lines on her cheeks. "It's all you could need. I mean, I don't expect the guy will give you all the chocolate you need." Suki wiped at her eyes. Smiling Arien quickly gave her friend a hug. "Thank you Suki." Suki nodded. "I know you'll be happy, even as a fugitive. Now go. Thor's waiting outside. He'll get you to him." Arien looked back before looking back at Suki. Wrapping her arms around the girl Suki returned the hug wholeheartedly. They remained for just a bit longer with their silent goodbyes. Slinging the pack over her shoulder Arien nodded. Offering her friend one more smile she ran leaving behind her cage. Maybe their secret promises could be fulfilled.
