Saarebas: Behind the mask

I have always wondered if there were any human or elven saarebas under the qun, but i have never heard mention or seen one. I remember reading a story where Hawke was caught and forced into the qun. Fenris saved him. :P

So here is my rendition of such. Its a big scary world, lets hope our little Saarebas can handle it!

Prologue

It was raining today.

It was always raining on this miserable strip of coastline Arvaarad referred to as the Storm Coast. Also if the wind and cold showers weren't enough, the waters were constantly in a state of tumult.

Through the tunneled lenses of his brass bull mask, the Saarebas could spot the wrecked and splintered vessels littering the rocky shoreline. The deck was wet, and slippery as per usual, Arvaarad had to hold his arm to keep him from swaying too much. Saarebas let out a agitated groan and shifted uncomfortably.

Arvaarad eyed him measuringly "Calm Saarebas, once the Tevinter smugglers are dealt with, there will be no reason to stay here" Arvaarad must've been feeling just as sick as him, the bound mage wondered. Even the most disciplined qunari would toss his bread in this unrelenting squall. Why couldn't the red lyrium smugglers have chosen a place with calmer seas?

Through the sweep of rain flares had gone up, Gatt and the other Inquisition forces were ready to fight the enemy on the ground, the ship was theirs to sink. Now normally having a Saarebas for a dreadnought run wouldn't be necessary but the Ben-Hassrath were leaving nothing to chance. If the gatt-lok got wet, then the cannons would not be able to fire. It was Saarebas's duty to make sure they did.

It was time for battle, the first volley of gatt-lok fired upon the smaller vessel. The enemy ship exploded in a blast of searing red.
