Justin Sakura
He thought he could put his past behind him. Forget his daughters face as he slit her throat. Forget his wife's screams as he beat her. Forget the past he had put behind him. When he went to work for Noah, he thought that this dream would come true. He beat up the reaper, attempted to kill Maka Albarn and fought dutifully.
Until the girl from his nightmares appeared in Noah's lair.
"Hey! Priest boy!" The foul-mouthed Girko called out to Justin. The priest saw his lips move but didn't get up to acknowledge the man. Girko continued.
"New arrival! She does some time of magic. No witch, though. She's quite the little swearer, though." Girko paused to make sure Justin had gotten his message before continuing. "Noah's put you on guard duty. It's the room next to the reapers. Hurry up!" Justin slowly got up and walked to the room. Inside was a sight that made him gasp.
A red-haired girl, wearing a green sweater over a black shirt. Short jean shorts. Her hair held in a ponytail by a bow. Her eyes dart around the room as she mumbles: "This really pisses me off." Her eyes, too, grow wide as she sees Justin.
"Da-daddy?" she whispers. Justin is aware of Noah standing at the door and knows he has a lot of explaining to do.
"You are not my daughter." It's what he's been telling himself over the years. Kyoko Sakura is not related to him. He is Justin Law now, not Justin Sakura.
The rage in Kyoko's eyes builds.
"You killed our family!" She's yelling now. Her eyes on fire. "You murdered them in cold blood!" Justin finds himself screaming, too.
"You made me!" Justin can sense Girko and Gopher arriving, startled by his shouts. "You were a witch! You are devil's spawn!"
"I TOLD YOU!" Kyoko's face is twisted in rage. "I SAVE OUR FAMILY! I'M NO WITCH! I'M A MAGICAL GIRL!" The words are out, and Justin can only stare as Kyoko raises a hand. He sees a ring with runes on it around her middle finger. She raises it and a jewel appears from it. Justin's no meister, but he can feel the power coming off this stone. This was her soul.
Kyoko's outfit changes, a spear in her hands. Justin can see that she's crying, but can only watch as she rams the spear into Gopher, who's in her way, and runs away. As she passes him, Justin can hear her whisper:
"This really pisses me off." Then the girl flies off into the night.
That was super short, I know. And really crappy. I was just thinking, Kyoko's father is a priest, Justin Law is an evil priest and- tada! This takes place while Kyoko hasn't meet Madoka and company. Unless you count Puella Magi Madoka Magica: The Different Story in which case this takes place after Mami and Kyoko part ways but before they meet again. Next one-shot: Cousins.
