"Hello, Jack." The frosted haired boy froze and slowly turned to the familiar voice that was coming from behind him. "It's been awhile don't you think?" The boy named Jack couldn't believe his eyes, in front of him, the girl he was in love with, the girl who he thought was dead for five years, was here in the flesh.

He walked over to the girl who was clouded in shadows, "Rapunzel?" The girl stayed quiet. "Rapunzel? Is that you?" Again, the woman remained silent. "I thought you were dead."

"Tell me, Jack. Did you tell yourself that to make yourself feel better? That I was dead? Did that thought allow you to sleep at night?" The woman's words were like knifes to Jack's frozen heart.

"No... no of course not. How... how could you ever think that?" The woman once again, quieted. "Just, let me see your face." The girl remained in the shadows, "Rapunzel, please. Just... please."

After a few moments, the girl finally got out of the shadows, and Jack was filled with disbelief. She wore a black cloak covering her entire body. Hair once billowing in it's golden locks that overlapped the floor was now dark as night and pulled into a high ponytail that reached below her back. Eyes once emerald green were now ice-cold blue, shocking, mesmerizing, horrifying.

"Rapunzel... what... what happened to you?"

"You happened to me Jack. The me right now, the me standing before you... you created. It's all your fault."

"And for that we must thank you Jack Frost." Beside her coming out of the shadows was Pitch, his dark figure scaring even the fiercest dragons, his face beautiful and terrifying all at the same time. "If not for you, I wouldn't have this wonderful woman at my side."

"What are you talking about?" Pitch smirked but merely ignored the question, "Rapunzel... what is he talking about?"

"Oh come on, Jack. I knew you were stupid, but for god sakes man." Pitch swept the woman up into his arms and kissed her.

"No!" Jack screamed with angry and surged forth an ocean of ice towards Pitch, only disarming him for a second, but to Jack's relief he let the girl go. "Why would you let him do that to you?" The woman just stared, in fact, her icy glare never left Jack, it was like she was spiting him, but he chose not to believe it. He chose not to believe anything that was going on in front of him now.

Jack walked up to Rapunzel, and cupped his hand on her cheek, "Rapunzel..." tears ran down his face, she was warm, how he longed to touch her skin even if it was only a moment. He swore to God that he would even give up his life to touch her again, even now he would die in peace having his wish fulfilled. Jack wiped away his tears and took Rapunzel's wrist, how small it is, he thought. He lead Rapunzel away without looking back.

"Jack. Jack. Jack!" The woman screeched and shoved a knife into his back, as Jack jutted to a stop and sank to the ground.

"Good work." Pitch patted the woman on the shoulder, soon he was retreating into the shadows and Rapunzel just stayed, and watched Jack writher in agony.

Gasping for air for his lungs he managed to ask, "Why?"

The woman stared at Jack with those horrifying eyes of hers and said, "Because..."

And she walked away.
