Logan woke up and wiped the sweat off his forehead. It was the same dream, it was Jean and Logan started running towards her and then right when he went to grab her, she disappeared. It was so hard for him and Scott but the school was still moving and getting back to normal. Logan got up and walked downstairs to the kitchen and there sat Bobby Drake eating out of the tub of ice cream. Logan shook his head remembering the first night this happened when the school was attacked.
"Hey." Logan grabbed a beer he hid and sat down next to Bobby, who eyed him suspiciously.
"Hey."
"What are you doing up? You have school tomorrow don't you?" Bobby rolled his eyes at the thought of school.
"I just couldn't sleep too many things in my head." Logan nodded. "How are you doing? I mean are you ok?"
"Now you're sounding like Rogue." Bobby laughed at the thought of his girlfriend, she hadn't left Logan alone this whole week. "But I'm ok. I'm doing better than Scott, I miss her though. The worst thing is the dreams their so real."
"I get it, well I mean I didn't go through what you did but I keep having dreams." Bobby's voiced lowered. "About my family, I know a lot of people keep telling me to forget about them. I can't there my family and we were close."
"I bet it was hell keeping your powers a secret."
"I knew what was happening, it was terrible I felt horrible my whole body temperature was dropping and my mom noticed and she almost took me to the doctor. Two weeks later I got picked up and moved in here."
"I heard you froze the whole hallway." Logan said laughing and took a sip of beer.
"It was an accident! I've gotten better control though."
"I can tell. I saw you in the Danger Room trying to freeze a lake. Why are you pushing yourself so hard? The wars over kid."
"I know but I'm supposed to be an omega mutant and all I can do is chill some DR. Pepper and make an ice wall. If I was as good as the Professor says I'm going to be I would've been able to freeze the lake and save everyone, save her."
"Bobby it will come in time and who even knows if you would have lived if you did that."
"Rogue said the same thing."
"She told me. I know you kissed her." Bobby paled and ice started to creep on the table.
"S-she told you?"
"Well, I guessed she was smiling a lot and every time you weren't looking she would smile your way. So I was right." The ice slowly went away and Bobby smiled.
"I love her."
"I can tell, so don't pressure her. She's the nicest girl I know and it's not fair." Just then Rogue came in with her hair tied up and her black gloves on.
"Hey, you two what are you doing?"
"Nothing, Bobby was telling me interesting facts about ice." Rogue grabbed the spoon off of Bobby and took a bite of his chocolate ice cream.
"Hey! That's mine!"
"I know and you have like 8 more tubs of ice cream with your name on it in the freezer."
"Ok kids I'm going to bed." Logan got up and threw away his bottle and punched Bobby in the arm as he made his way to his bedroom. Rogue smiled and pulled out her cell phone, Bobby watched her scroll and groaned when he heard the song she played.
"What?"
"Vanilla Ice, really?" Rogue just giggled and swayed her hips to the music. Little did the boys know she heard the whole conversation, she also heard Bobby say he loved her for the first time.
