Saïx flopped down on the sofa, exhausted. It had been a long day; Xemnas had ordered him to accompany Demyx on a recon mission, and we all know what a pain that can be.
"Hey, Saïx! You okay?" came a voice from behind. Before the Luna Diviner had the chance to look round, a skinny, spiky haired Nobody jumped over the back of the sofa and sat beside him.
"Yeah thanks, Axel... Long day, that's all."
"Oh? You sure that's all? You don't look yourself, if you don't mind me saying."
"I've been teamed with Demyx all day..."
"Ah, understandable."
A silence settled between them.
"You sure it's nothing else?"
"I am fine."
"Really?"
"Axel, why do you keep asking me if I'm okay?"
Axel looked at his old friend with concern.
"You look a bit peaky... That's all."
"Peaky? For the last time, Axel, I am fine."
"Oh really? My mistake. You just looked a little..."
The redhead smirked, no-longer being able to keep his serious fa ade.
"A little what? Axel?"
"A little... A little... CROSS EYED!"
Saïx looked like he was going to explode. Really? REALLY? As if he'd never heard that one before! A day with Demyx was bad enough; being teased with stale jokes was the last thing he wanted right now. He was close to punching the annoying Nobody, but Marluxia sat between them before he could.
"Hey, hey! What's going on here?"
Axel tried to explain, but could not, as he was laughing too hard. Sa x pouted.
"That... Thing... Thought it would be HILARIOUS to come and INSULT me because of this." He gestured to the scar between his eyes.
Marluxia shook his head disapprovingly.
"Now that wasn't very nice, was it Axel? There was no need for that."
"But-"
"No! No buts! Look at him. You've made him... CROSS!"
Axel burst into new fits of laughter, Marluxia joining him. The pair laughed until they cried, and Saïx got up and stormed off to his room, slamming the door behind him. The sounds of furniture being thrown across his room echoed through the Castle That Never Was, causing the other Organization members to come out and investigate the noise, only to find XI and VIII rolling around the floor in hysteria.
