Quote of the day:
"I will become Hokage!" - Naruto Uzumaki
"Heh. What would you know of what I've been through? You weren't there, you didn't wake up in the middle of the night to see what those monsters did to them. You didn't see all the tragedy and deaths that occurred in that single night. You didn't see what I became afterwards, after you cowardly ran away from me. Even when you returned, in all these years, you still don't truly know me and my past. So, you have no right to stop me from moving finally towards my happiness that I have long awaited." – Yotsuki Alice to Yotsuki Sayaka a couple days ago.
...
No one's POV
"She should be here by now." A man with ash blonde hair and violet eyes said. He stood up and peeked out the window.
He sat back down.
This man was recognized by many different titles. Principal was the most known here at Seiyo, but to others, it varied between fortune teller, caretaker, Tsukasa Amakawa, and the most important, 'Founding King'.
He sighed, staring into the darkness of his room. He had not bothered to open the curtains, for today was a day, that should not necessarily be… enlightened, he supposed. Checking the time, he grew worried.
Could something have happened t-"HERE!"
He turned and saw the person he had been waiting for, finally arrived.
Her name was Yotsuki Alice. She was '5'1 in height, had mid-back, long, brownish red hair in a ponytail, same colored red-brown eyes, and light skin. She wore the boys standard uniform, except she loosely tied the tie and the jacket was unbuttoned.
"Gomen, Tsukasa! I got stuck in traffic along with other complications." She explained, frowning. He could tell she noticed that they were both in the darkness. Alice walked over to the windows and opened them all.
"You know," she started. "Me, coming back, doesn't always cause trouble."
"I beg to differ." Tsukasa replied. Alice just ignored this though.
They both stayed silent with her looking out the window and him watching her. He took this time to take the liberty to ask the long awaited question.
"I was surprised to get a call from you, saying, you were coming back." He said. "So, why did you come back?"
She scoffed. "You already know the answer to that, clairvoyant."
"That's not what I meant." He looked at her seriously. "Judging by what I saw and what the stars told me, you've been having those dreams for two years now."
Alice flinched. Tsukasa took a note of that.
Damn it… She thought. I knew that sneaky b*****d would look over me! He always did…even after all these years…
Alice lacked in response.
I should push a little more… Tsukasadecided.
"And even after all that time…" He continued. "You haven't come back once…until now. The future was pretty hazy, so even I couldn't tell what choice you were going to make. So, why the long wait…?"
He stared at Alice, waiting patiently for her to answer.
She could admit the truth…or lie… Alice said to herself. Saying the truth would finally make her admit and face the very fears she had, but lying… it would only make the fear grow more. So, taking a deep breath, Alice made her choice.
"Lying would only make my fear grow even more so, so I'll tell you the truth." She said. "I was, and still am, afraid. I'm afraid right now for coming back here. For two years I've been afraid, but even more so then what I've felt for as long as I could remember. I knew, all these years, I would have to come back to it, but…actually coming to this very point where it actually finally happened. I couldn't accept it. I ignored the dreams, the stars, the dreams about a pinklette and a neko boy, most importantly though, a key and a lock. I saw the power she had, it's a lot, but until I deal with it, she will never experience the full potential in any near future. 'It' will only bring her to insanity, if this continues so."
"So, do you plan to look after her?" Tsukasa asked, and Alice shook her head. "Then, what? Are you just going to use her as your little pawn til you've found a solution?"
"No. What I plan to do is-" Alice stopped talking and turned her head towards the door. Tsukasa also turned his head and there stood Tadase, who spoke up.
How long had he been there? And how much did he hear… Both Alice and Tsukasa wondered.
"Gomen, but, did you not ask me to come here?" He said, making Tsukasa smile.
"Yes, Tadase-kun." Tsukasa signaled towards Alice. "Care to introduce yourself? Or should I?"
Alice shook her head as she held out her hand to Tadase. He quickly took it into his own and shook.
"I'm Shinji Night, nice to meet you." Alice's voice was neutral.
Tsukasa took another note that he should ask Alice about the sudden name change. Until then though, he would go along with it.
"Hotori Tadase, a 5th grader and 'King's Chair' in the Guardians. Nice to meet you, Shinji-san" Tadase said, smiling, and they both let go of each other's hands and looked towards Tsukasa.
"Well," Tsukasa said, taking out a deck of cards. "Now that the introductions are out of the way, Tadase, I've called you because Night-chan here will be joining the Guardians."
Joining the Guardians? Tadase questioned this in surprise because usually it was them that had to pick the next member, not the 'Founding King' personally himself.
Tadase glanced and noticed Shinji-san gave a look of annoyance towards Tsukasa. It was probably because of the 'chan' part he added in her name.
"She will be the 'Suit Card.'" He lifted up a regular car out of the deck that in the front had all the symbols. Spade, heart, clover and diamond, Tadase's never seen a card like that before. "Please, if you will, show her around today, and keep an eye on the new 'Suit', would you?"
Tadase nodded. He waited for her to gather her things and they both left the office.
"I hope she'll be ok…" Tsukasa mumbled as he looked at the 'suit card' in his hand.
Alice's POV
Did he really have to assign me a babysitter? Alice asked herself in annoyance as she looked over at Tadase. He was leading the way to her next class unnecessarily, seeing that she already knew the way there. She didn't protest, however, and just continued on. It would be better that way.
"So, Shinji-san?" Tadase spoke up, getting her attention. "Do you have any chara's?"
She wondered if she should say 'yes.' The idiot carelessly mentioned chara's even though knowing that she was a stranger. What if she didn't know about them? She would've labelled him as crazy by her about asking for something that sounded insane. Looks could only take you so far, after all.
But, besides that, what should she say? In total she had three, but… it's rare to have three. Only one person could have three, and that person was the wielder. What would they say? It would look pretty suspicious that she had three and another person had three. They would start to question it, and questions lead to answers, which lead to truth. She couldn't have people finding out the truth, everybody would then be after her for answers, answers on where the 'Embryo' was hidden and or, where she had it.
Tadase turned, stopped, and looked at her. She noticed this and moved away from her thoughts and looked at him.
It was probably because of her lack of answer.
"Shinji-san?" He asked, concernedly. "Are you ok?"
She simply nodded as she continued on with him now following her.
"I have two," she said, lying. I'll have to go with two for now…
"Huh, two what?" He asked.
"You asked me for my chara's, did you not?" She replied back, rolling her eyes. How could he forget so easily?
"Oh, yeah…What are their names? And are they with you?" He asked, and she nodded. She took out the two eggs. She knew they were sleeping, so this was a perfect time to show them to him.
The first egg was a fully colored black one with a faded crimson colored bird on it. This egg belonged to Mato. The second egg one was fully white that had a light pink heart in the middle with a hot pink line across that went up and down. It looked like a frozen heart monitor. This one belonged to Rin.
Mato was a raven-like chara that was strong-willed. She was my dream to be a hero and savior. Mato would always stand her ground for something right. Rin on the other hand, was the opposite. She was an angelic-like one that was a perfectionist and loyal. She was my dream to understand love better, though I do have a little concept of it. I think of it mainly as devotion and Rin takes after that.
"They're are asleep, but this one," she pointed at Mato's egg. "Is Mato's egg, and this one," she pointed at Rin's. "Is Rin's."
"It's been a while since I've seen someone with just two." Tadase said in amazement, and she put them both away.
Walking a little more, they reached a slightly crowded hallway. She first ignored all the kids staring and pointing at her, mainly the girls glares though. She could tell the first time by looking at Tadase, he was the school's prince charming. Every school had one.
"Hotori-san!" Tadase and she both stopped and turned. A little 4th grader ran up to him, he was carrying tons of papers.
"Ito-san, what's wrong?" Tadase asked him while taking some of the papers from his grasp.
"We've got a bit of a problem!" He shrieked. "We need to hurry!"
The kid grabbed Tadase and began to drag him, but Tadase didn't budge.
"W-Wait! H-Hold on, I can't just-" He looked back towards me.
"Go ahead," she said, neutrally. "I know the way anyway."
He didn't look fully convinced, so she slightly pushed him and complying, he left.
"Finally…" She mumbled, and finally getting sick of the stares and whispers, she gave everyone death glares and continued on.
"You didn't have to do that, ya know?" She heard a little voice say and she could already tell who it was. "Now, how will you ever make friends?"
The little chara flew up and gave her a concerned look.
"Aya," she sighed out. "You know we're not here to make friends."
Aya was her third and final chara. Aya's egg was checkered white and gold, and wrapped around it were big symbols. Spade, diamond, clover, and heart, they were inside big red connected squares.
Aya was a chara a lot of people had a soft spot for. She represented Alice's inner child-likeness and innocence. She was always naïveish, but nice, and tried to do her best. Aya had a short bob of white hair, light skin, big gold eyes, a white, long sleeved, puffy dress, big white sunhat, gold ribbon in her hair, white stockings, white ballet shoes, and a white and gold parasol.
"That's what you said at Kadic Academy." Aya reminded me and Alice sighed yet again.
"That…" she paused for a moment. "Was different…"
"Only when you met Momoko." Alice looked down bitterly when Aya said that. Alice knew Aya was right though.
Alice lifted her head back up and looked at her. "OK, I wo-"
She was cut off when she crashed into something or better yet, someone. Alice fell down hard on the floor and fury filled up any hurt she got. Aya could tell because she floated up to her, trying to distract herself from snapping at the person.
"Alice, calm do-Hey! Asshole!" Alice yelled out in anger as she quickly collected her stuff. "You have eyes for a reason, so watch out dumbass!"
Alice stood up and quickly walked away from the scene, leaving behind people who began to stare and whisper yet again. She was fuming as she walked through the halls. Aya had given up trying to calm her down and instead tried to at least get her out of trouble.
"Watch out." Aya said, trying to push her to the left. Alice swiftly moved and avoided the person.
"Alice," Aya spoke. "Will you be mad all day? Come on, it's a pretty day! Let's enjoy it and be happy!"
Aya began to twirl around in happiness and Alice could tell she was really trying to cheer her up. It worked too. She gave a small smile at the sight.
"Hey!" They heard someone yell and loud footsteps running towards her, so as a natural reflex, Alice hit the person hard with her bag. The person fell with a loud thud onto the ground.
Alice flinched. Uh oh… Not wanting to get in trouble, she turned and was about to walk away when a hand suddenly gripped her shoulder. She slapped it off of herself.
"Don't touch me," she replied coldly and saw it was the person that just fell. They had emerald green eyes, brown unruly hair, and tan skin. They were pretty tall too, and judging by the look on their face, they looked pretty annoyed and pissed.
"What the hell!" The boy yelled out with a glare which Alice, herself, returned. "First you call me a dumbass for bumping into me! And now you hit me with a bag! What the f**k?!"
At first, Alice didn't know what he was talking about, but then she noticed… he was the same guy! Alice didn't get a good look of him earlier, but now she did. And let's just say… she wasn't happy either.
"Well, first of all dumbass, I actually call you that because you are and actually bumped into me! Plus, I wouldn't have had to hit you, if you didn't touch me! So, back OFF!" Alice spat back, slightly pushing him and he did the same in return.
They both glared at each other, their auras deadly, as everyone gathered around them. Alice took off her tie and wrapped it tightly around her left knuckle and he did the same. They both stood there for a couple of seconds, just glaring at each other, when he suddenly gave her a 'bring it' look and without any hesitation, Alice launched herself forward and their fight immediately began.
