Switched AGAIN?
Summary: In Teen Titans Go! #24, the titans switch powers and Robin ends up with Starfire's powers. What confessions could this unlikely turn of events lead to?
Chapter 1 Glorious Powers
"Starfire!" Robin came running into the ops room, looking very strange. He was not wearing his typical uniform. In fact, none of the Titans were. They were wearing each others, powers included. They had recently fought a battle with Katarou, whose mystical gem had exploded, leaving the Titans completely mixed up, literally. Robin now had Star's powers. Star now had Cyborg's, robotic parts and all. Cyborg now had Beast Boys powers, except every animal he turned into was brown, and BB had Raven's, leaving her with Robin's martial arts skills.
Starfire, shoulders slumped, turned to look at him.
"Now I know why you're always so…energetic! Why you're always so amped and positively charged!" Robin took a breath, then continued, "It's your powers! They're…they're just so…"
"Glorious?" Star suggested, a little quietly.
"Yes!" Robin shouted, making his hands glow with two charged starbolts, "And I never use that word!"
Eventually, the Titans (namely Raven) figured out how to get their powers back and were getting settled when Starfire pulled Robin to the side.
"Listen Robin, there is something you must know about my glorious powers."
Robin looked intently at Starfire for a few moments and then started to say something, only to be cut off.
"Before you ask, no, please, do not call the others over. I wish for only you to know this, if Raven does not already."
Robin looked at her again and then sat down. Star sat next to him and began her tale. "When I was small, my only power was flight, like all the others my age." She sighed. "But then, the war with the Gordanians began. It lasted until my 10th year. That was when the Treaty of Tamaran was signed."
"But…shouldn't that be a good thing. I mean the war ending…and, what does this have to do with your powers again?"
Starfire ignored the last question, but she did answer the first, "It was a good thing…for everyone but my sister and I. One of the parts of the Treaty specified that, as insurance, Blackfire and I were to be given to the Gordanians allies, the Psions. The Psions were…are, a cruel race. They experimented on us, until Blackfire grew so angry, she killed one of our captors with a blast of energy, our starbolts, which the Psions had unknowingly granted us. I soon discovered I too had these powers and we escaped. I wandered around space until I landed on Earth and met you."
Robin openly stared at Star for what felt like an hour. Then he shook his head, as if trying to get rid of a terrible taste in his mouth, "Star…I didn't…I mean…why didn't you…how…what did they…oh good lord." He gulped, cleared his throat and began again.
"Star, why didn't you tell me?"
"Because…well… I don't know. I did not how you would take it… You can be extremely…obsessive at times."
That made sense to Robin, so he let it drop. "If so many things have happened…how can you still fly?"
"I have found many things that bring me joy. Having a home. The Earth. My friends. You."
With the last comment, Robin blushed a deep crimson, then leaning forward, gave Starfire a light kiss, "Would you like to watch the sunset?"
"Yes, I would like that very much, Robin." With that, the two climbed up to the roof and watched the sun begin to set and the moon begin to rise, the sky changing from red, orange, and pink, to a dark purple and further up black, dotted with first stars of the night.
