FASH: Happy Holidays! Hopefully I'll be able to finish up all these little alphabet one shots before I go back to school. I'm going to try and finish a chapter of something for tomorrow, so hopefully this will amuse you in the meantime.

P is for: Paper-mâché

-x-x-x-

Kuroki frowned at the large bowl in front of him, or more specifically; the white, goopy liquid that the bowl contained.

"Art class is a waste of time." He decided firmly, only to be completely ignored by Toganou who favoured coating his torn up shreds of newspaper in the sticky substance over paying attention to the brunette's complaints.

Kuroki turned to Toganou, evidently having one of his usual fits.

"Listen to me when I talk, dammit!" He demanded loudly enough that several of their classmates turned to shoot the brunette a fearful look before turning back to their projects.

"I am listening. For now." The other boy replied dryly, his glaze flickering away from his work for a moment to rest on Kuroki's impeccably clean hands.

"You know, half the fun of paper-mâché is getting your hands dirty."

"But it looks gross."

"It's just glue, water and flour."

"There are chunks in it."

"It'll wash off with soap and water."

"But it'll dry under my fingernails."

"... You are starting to sound more and more like a girl with every protest you make."

"What was that? Bastard!" Kuroki lifted a fist, probably intent on giving Toganou a 'light' tap on the shoulder for the comment.

He hadn't counted on Toganou catching his fist before it could connect, and he did it all non-chalantly too, in his typical, mellowed out 'he who loses his temper first loses the battle' sort of way, which, if anything, made Kuroki more agitated.

"Hey, let go!" He brought up his other hand to try and pry the fair haired boy's away, but soon enough Toganou had grabbed ahold of that one as well.

"Now then, the sooner you realize it's not as bad as you think it is, the sooner you can start working." Toganou stated, slowly pulling his friend's hand closer to the contents of the bowl, despite Kuroki's resistance.

After several harsh tugs he and Kuroki's hands were completely submerged in the substance, and Toganou belatedly wished that he'd ordered someone to take a picture of this moment, so that he could have evidence of the look on Kuroki's face.

He was totally disgusted.

Kuroki shuddered and looked up at him. "It's warm."

"It was mixed with hot water so that the flour would dissolve better, what did you expect?"

"And you're still holding my hands."

"Because if I wasn't you'd have run to the sink to wash them by now, and that's no fun."

Kuroki slumped, apparently resigned to his fate.

"You're evil, you know that?"

Toganou grinned. "Only to you."
