I set fire to the rain

And I threw us into the flames

Well it burned while I cried and I heard it screaming out your name

You know that feeling when you're underwater, and the water surrounding you seems to distort and block out the sounds around you? It's kind of scary because all your senses get muffled, leaving just a blurred image with indistinguishable sounds somewhere beyond. It was kind of like this moment.

I think there's screaming, though it's a little difficult to tell; they're being drowned out by the crashes, creaking and crackling of the heat biting away through the brick. Have you ever heard it? It's a pretty sound, kind of relaxing. The aesthetics also prick at my senses; a warm aura of red, orange and yellow cloaked the house in a burning sunset, fading into darkness further down the street. Soft, sweet smoke tints the insides of my nostrils; smells like ecstasy. It blankets me carefully, protecting me from flames that can never touch me.

They're still screaming. They don't appreciate the beauty of the situation.

"MONSTER!"

"JOHN, PLEASE STOP!"

"BROTHER!"

I can't understand them; their words are sifted into thick smoke, and willingly I let it all cloud my mind. However, there couldn't be enough smoke in the world to sift out the increasing rabble from outside. Some people want to end my fun. People in blue suits. People in white coats. Very loud, angry people. You know what anger reminds me of?

Fire. Lots and lots of fire. Fire is anger. So shouldn't they be fire? Flames that encircle my body twist and writhe into the shape of a skull-be that a very angry skull-and let it take them. Would you look at that? More screaming. All of the blue slowly chars and eventually conforms to their natural colour-the red and the black.

But there's something wrong. Why? Why is there still white? Why is the white coming closer?

Why does everything seem hazy?

Why are the flames disappearing?

Why are they doing this to me?

Do…do they hate me?

And that's the first drabble! This will be a series of requested drabbles,so post in the reviews a character(s),a theme and maybe a song and I'll do it! Can be any X-Men character
