I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh lord
I've been waiting for this moment, all my life, oh lord
Can you feel it coming in the air tonight, oh lord, oh lord
Mitchie was lying on her bed, thinking about the events that had taken place recently. She and Shane, who she had been going out with for a year now, had broken up several hours ago. Now, she had ran out of tears, and just lied there, numb. Plotting revenge, of course. Her CD player was blasting angry music, which made her even more enraged.
Shane was staying in her town, to visit her, and was staying in a hotel a few minutes away. Mitchie had spent an hour perfecting her makeup and hair, so she'd look good for Shane. She got her mom to take her by the hotel, and she walked up to his room. She knocked, but nobody answered. Turning the knob, she found it was open, so she went in.
"Shane? Hello?" she called. Muffled sounds were coming from his bedroom, so she knocked.
"Hey, open up, it's Mitchie." She said with her ear to the door. A moment later, no one had opened so she let herself in. What she saw stabbed her heart like a thousand knives.
Well, if you told me you were drowning
I would not lend a hand
I've seen your face before my friend
But I don't know if you know who I am
Well, I was there and I saw what you did
I saw it with my own two eyes
So you can wipe off the grin, I know where you've been
Its all been a pack of lies
"Sh-shane?" she said, her voice barely over a whisper. He was on the bed, making out with some random girl. She was a lot prettier than her, and reminded her of Tess. The mystery girl was on top of Shane, but it didn't look like he was making any attempt to get away.
"Mitchie!" he said, sitting up abruptly. The girl looked at her like she had three heads.
"Who's that?" the girl said snobbishly. Mitchie just turned and walked out. Anger welled up inside her, and she was afraid that if she didn't get out she'd end up hurting both of them.
And I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh lord
I've been waiting for this moment for all my life, oh lord
I can feel it in the air tonight, oh lord, oh lord
And I've been waiting for this moment all my life, oh lord, oh lord
Mitchie ran back to her mom's car, tears running down her face. Shane had followed her, but she went ahead and told him what was on her mind.
"Mitchie! Please." He said, running after her. Mitchie stopped and paused. She slowly turned around to face him. His face was full of guilt and concern, and he was startled when he saw her expression. It was full of extreme dislike, maybe even hate.
"What?" she hissed.
"Let me explain." Shane started.
"Ha!" Mitchie laughed humorlessly. "What's there to explain? I saw what you did; I saw it with my own two eyes. You were with that…that…thing the whole time." Mitchie said, her voice dripping with hate. She turned to walk away, but Shane put his hand on her shoulder. Mitchie spun around.
"Don't. Touch. Me." She snarled at him. He just stood there dumbfounded.
Well I remember, I remember don't worry
How could I ever forget, its the first time, the last time we ever met
But I know the reason why you keep your silence up, no you don't fool me
The hurt doesn't show; but the pain still grows
Its no stranger to you or me
Now, lying on her bed at home, she knew what she had to do. She had to get back at him. She flipped through her phone book and found the number she was looking for. She dialed it in her phone.
"Hey, Nate. This is Mitchie."
And I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh lord...
(A/N: Please, R&R! I'm sorry if it isn't the best story, I'm only 13. xD)
