Hello everyone :) This is my first poem so please go easy on me! Also wrote on my iPod so yeah...Basically this is Prim talking about how she had to say goodbye to Katniss so many times.

SPOILER ALERT! Do not read unless you've read all three books.

With a bow in hand, leather jacket zipped and warn boots laced. Katniss Everdeen departs to pursuit the needs of our family. I worry she will get caught every day- in the morning when she leaves. I say goodbye for now my sister must hunt. How many times must I say goodbye and fear you won't return?

When my name was called,

I though the Capitol was taking me to the slaughter.

I thought I was the lamb, hamless and indecent being punished out of spite and hatred of the cause.

But as my body shivered; cold and numb with shock. Katniss took my place for me, so now I must stay. To watch my Katniss fight to the death, Now I must say goodbye for my sister must win the Hunger Games. How many times must I say goodbye and fear you won't return?

My face flushes white when I watch the virdict be announced. Victor once a title of honnor, safety and wealth... No longger safe. For now the Victors must return to take the place of children in the games. Katniss Everdeen must return to the arena to fight for life. Now I must say goodbye for my sister must win the Quarter Quell. How many times must I say goodbye in fear you won't return?

I tell myself it's for the best. This is the way it's suppose to be. Katniss Everdeen started the spark, fueled the fire and now she must triumph: she cannot flee. This time is different; not like the rest. For this time katniss will defeat the Capitol and all can be at rest. Katniss will triumph or die for the cause. This is for the best but I am selfish. Now I must say goodbye for my sister must win the war. How many times must I say goodbye and fear you won't return?

All is fair in love and war. It is my turn to leave Katniss; for this is my time, this is how it was meant to be. One last time I must say goodbye to my sister Katniss Everdeen for I have fallen to the cause. Now you must say goodbye for this is fate. You do not have to fear my return. For life goes on and I am gone. Someday far far away when the time is right and the years are gone we can meet again in a little place I call heaven.

Love,

Primrose Everdeen
