A simple stare….
Could it be…love?
Satoshi Hiwatari walked down the hallways of Azumano Jr. High, his blue eyes covered by his glasses. As usual girls were looking at him as he walked by.
He seemed like a plain middle school student but he wasn't. His real name was Satoshi Hikari and he was also the cheif commander of Azumano Police. His mission was to catch the legendary Phantom Dark.
"Riku! Niwa!Wait, please!" a girl's voice shouted. He knew who it was. In front of him were Riku and Risa Harada and Daisuke Niwa. A sigh escaped the elder sister's lips. "Come on Risa.We have gym right now and you're telling me to wait just because you have to loosen your hair ribbon?" Riku asked.
"Well...yes." Risa said.
"Ms. Riku, I'm sure Ms. Harada doesn't mean to keep us from our gym class." Daisuke said trying to calm his girlfriend's nerves. "Maybe you're right." Riku said.
Satoshi sighed as he walked past the three. "Hiwatari, hey wait." Daisuke said running up to him. "What?" Satoshi asked. "Well, it's just that...the three of us were on our way to gym class and since you have the same class wanna join us?" Daisuke asked shyly. "Fine." Satoshi said.
Risa sighed, it was a good thing she couldn't run or she'd be in big trouble. Satoshi looked at her. She was stranger than he thought. Risa looked at him. "What's wrong Hiwatari? Are you sick?" she asked placing a hand to his forehead. "No." he said.
"Oh. Well how come you don't do the gym excerises?" she asked, happily a smile on her face.
"I just don't want to. I can understand that you care more about your looks am I right?" he asked her.
"Yup. Hey could you do something for me?" Risa asked.
"Does this invovle your homework?" he asked.
"No. Can you take off your glasses. I'd like to see what you look like without them on." she said.
Satoshi took of his glasses and looked at her. A pink blush came to her cheeks. He looked more handsome then he did with his glasses on. That she had to admit. The two just stared at each other for a long time, it seemed like eternity to Risa as her blushed turned from pink to hot pink to bright red.
Her heart raced, she never knew a single look at him could make her fall in love again. Sure she had stopped chasing Dark and stopped loving him but she thought of him a good friend and she felt that Satoshi was not just a freind butbecoming more of a love interest as she continued to look into those cold sapphire eyes of his.
"Ms. Harada?" Satoshi asked being her back to reality. "Yes?" she asked. Her blush still on her cheeks and her heart still racing. He tucked a few strands of her chestnut brown hair behind her ear that had been in her face for sometime now.
"Nothing." he said then got up since class was over.
Risa looked out her window, her mind was still on Satoshi. A knock was heard. "Risa?" Riku asked through the door. "Are you still spacing? Come on dinner's ready." Riku said.
"Coming." Risa said then walked out her room. She wondered could Satoshi Hiwatari, be in love with...her? Maybe it could be love. Just maybe.
