Summary: A song-fic based on the song with the same title by Lonestar. Henry calls his family from a hotel on Korea while he's on R&R.

He called her on the road

From a lonely cold hotel room

Just to hear her say "I love you" one more time.

"Hello?" came the voice of his wife over the phone.

"Lorraine? Oh, it's so good to hear your voice!"

"Oh, Henry. I can't believe it's you, I was just thinking of you."

But when he heard the sound

Of the kids laughing in the background

He had to wipe away a tear from his eye

He could hear Molly squealing and Andrew laughing. "Hold on Henry….kids, quiet down, it's your dad." He felt a tear trickle down his cheek, and wiped it away quickly before anyone saw it, although he was alone.

A little voice came on the phone

Said, "Daddy when you comin' home?"

He said the first thing that came to his mind

"Henry, Molly wants to talk to you….here sweetie."

"Daddy?"

"Hey Molly. Oh, I miss you so much baby."

"I miss you, too. When are you going to be home, daddy?"

"I don't know when I get to leave Korea, but you know I'm always there with you. All you have to do is look around, and everything that makes you happy? That's me."

"Guess what? I have a new imaginary friend and I named him Henry, like you! We pray about you every night at bed time."

"That's great, honey. I don't have much time, can I talk to your momma again?"

"Ok, bye daddy."

"Bye, baby"

She got back on the phone

Said "I really miss you darlin'

Don't worry about the kids, they'll be alright

"I wish every morning when I wake up that it was your arms around me instead of some scratchy army blanket."

"Come home soon, ok?"

"As soon as I can. I promise." He hung up the phone and prayed that he could keep his promise.
