This is the Future- Owl City
Summary: " Schue was right except for one person. Kurt. Finn's POV on their relationship.
Disclaimer: I do not own Glee, because if I did. Kurt/Finn would totally be canon. I mean, c'mon, aren't they cuties?
He recalled what Mr. Schue had said, - that later in life we would need a second to recall the names of the Glee members. As the years went by, I realized he was right, except for one. Kurt.
The time they lived together in Kurt's- no, their house, would be some of the best years of high school. But he always knew Kurt was going to leave Lima, find a city that would welcome him just the way he was. And Finn was happy for him, really. Kurt finally got what he wanted- an adoring crowd on the stage (not Broadway just yet), to be accepted fully.
Finn's really happy for him, but can't deny that he misses the fashionable soprano. Kurt's caring, loving diva personality had made him nervous when he first got to know him (Puck had always said that gayness was catching, and Finn still believed everything he was told- see Quinn incident). But he soon realized that Kurt was an awesome guy, and that Kurt truly cared about him, as a person. Not as a fake daddy or just a voice to be molded into the perfect boyfriend Kurt accepted him as his bumbling, dumb self. He felt flattered, that Kurt would pick him to give his affections to, but it still made him uncomfortable, knowing he could never- what was the word? Reciprocate, that was it. Bt soon, he knew that Kurt would move on to bigger and better things. He would not be a Lima Loser and stare at him like he was some sort of god forever.
No, he knew that Kurt would come back to Lima on his school break with tons f stories to tell maybe even a boyfriend to show to the family. And that's what we are, isn't it? We are a family, a messed up one, but that's what family is. Loving each other despite the faults. And while he may not be able to love Kurt the way he wanted all those years ago, he loves him like the little brother he always wanted, even if he was a little more girly than he pictured. He loved the little guy, and that was never going to change. Kurt just better know that, and that he'll beat the crap out of any guy that didn't treat him right.
After all, that's what big brothers are for, right?
