Hammock

Disclaimer: I don't own Twilight. Or a hammock, come to think of it.

Bella and Edward had been in Hawaii for three days on their honeymoon. They were in a chalet set away from any cities, a retreat where Edward could be in the sun as much as he wanted and the only person who would see him was Bella.

Bella was currently walking out to sit in a hammock in the shaded part of the backyard. Edward had volunteered to make lunch. She sat down in the middle of the hammock and stretched out. When she couldn't find a comfortable position, Bella began wriggling back and forth trying to get into a relaxed arrangement. She continued wrestling with the contraption until she was abruptly swung upside down.

Bella let out an enraged groan as she found herself staring at the ground. She then began rocking back and forth in an attempt to swing herself upright. She couldn't use her arms, as they were tightly pinned to her chest. Tongue stuck between her teeth, Bella finally built up enough momentum to flip herself over. Unfortunately, she went the opposite direction from where she was trying to get to.

After a few more minutes of unsuccessful struggling, Bella found she was wrapped in a cocoon of the diabolical netting. Her arms and legs were held firmly to her body and the only part of her that wasn't wrapped up in strings was her face. But hey, she was facing the right direction. That had to count for something.

She finally broke down and called for help. "Edward!" she yelled, hoping for dear life that he would hear her. "Edward, help me!"

He came running to the door less than a second later. Her expression was anxious, then relieved as he walked out to her. The relief turned to annoyance moments after when she realized he was trying desperately not to laugh.

"Edward," she started dangerously. "I know you can walk faster than that." He continued walking toward her, still trying to keep from laughing.

"You know," he said when he finally got to her. "I think I like you this way." Bella started an angry response, but it caught in her throat as Edward's golden eyes drilled into hers, dancing with amusement. That's just not fair, she thought as her insides squirmed. Warmth crawled up Bella's cheeks as her husband continued to stare into her eyes. He laughed and whispered, "I love it when you do that."

She was about to ask what he was talking about when she was interrupted by his lips being pressed against hers. And Bella suddenly realized how much she loved hammocks.

A/N:

Jade: This happened to me today. Except Edward didn't walk out and kiss me. Also, I was ignored for fifteen minutes and was left to think while I hung helpless. So I thought; Hey I should write a fic about this! And this thingy was born…. I'm still not sure if that's good or bad, but Lily seemed to like it, so I'm posting it.

R&R please! I don't know if I'm any good at EdwardxBella.
